Good advice, great product.I'll be using a padded VTAC 2-Point. I love that sling on anything.

Your kidding me right? Weight wise both of the rifles I referenced are similar to a GAP-10 and thats what we are talking about here. Understood a SCAR doesn't have the same accuracy but we are talking about taking it through the woods and hiking. You are picking the one thing I casually referenced and using if for why I'm wrong. You are the one not talking about the OPs request, talking about matches when he's hiking with the rifle.
A SCAR 17 is 7.9lbs empty without optics, a GAP10 is noticeably more weight- add optics and you're easily over 14 lbs.
I see a bunch of people recommending the Padded VTAC... Will I need to buy an adapter as I have a Magpul PRS stock. Looks like the butt strap would interfere with the PRS articulations.
Am I the only guy here that loves a 3-point? I find them very versatile and pretty comfortable when adjusted right. On my Recce rifle I run a Blackhawk! similar to the one demonstrated in this video:
Armageddon Gear Precision Rifle Sling:
Precision Rifle Sling
Best marksman/precision sling on the market. I am biased, though.
Hey Guys,
Got my GAP 10 in the mail. I've heard a bunch of different opinions on slings. Trying to figure out what will be the best for my use.
What do you guys use?
I typically will be using mine for hunting while walking / hiking. And also some range use.
Single point? 2 Point?
Thoughts?
