You don’t “win” your liberty. It’s an everyday fight. As soon as you drop some despot there’s always another motherfucker addicted to power who can only orgasm by ruling you and causing suffering. Once you let them take away your means to fight you’re fucked. Once you let them disarm you your no longer a citizen with rights. Now you’re a subject, and you get what you deserve.

For those living in more unfortunate places, even if they managed to get their hands on an 80% lower, getting the rest of the parts to assemble it would be another story. Getting barrels, action parts and especially ammo.
And if you managed to get your AR or other kit assembled, where would you practice in a place like the UK? Even in the most remote locations you are going to need things like cans to keep the ruckus under the radar.
This is the problem folks living in peaceful nations with draconian gun laws are facing.
In places like Venezuela, where shit has already hit the fan and it is either kill or be killed, availability of guns would not be an issue. You take them from the cold dead hands of the regime enforcers.
That looks like the Spring MPA match on day two. First stage for me was prone in the mud ensuring I was soaked all day. The saving grace is that it wasn’t too cold.

If and when I do have children in the future the first thing I will teach them sports-wise when they are old enough is safe and responsible gun handling. This is part of the reason why I own a revolver that fires straight-wall cases and a lever action rifle that chambers the same thing. .45 Long Colts and .454 can be handloaded all the way down to pipsqueak levels to teach youth shooters. They are also perfect to teach reloading. Black powder or smokeless, pick your flavor. Got me one of those older Lee Loader kits too for convenience in extended times in the field. Self-reliance is the way to go.
I would consider that I have lived my life to the fullest if I actively helped pass on the tradition of the shooting sports to as many folks as possible. When I go to the range I carry a variety of ammo that are loaded to different power levels because I fully intend to let others shoot my guns too and I would instruct them. There is nothing like seeing the smile on someone's face when they pull the trigger on a black powder cartridge gun the first time, hearing the boom and smelling the sulfur just like in the Old West.
When I had closer neighbors I would shoot squirrels and birds my single shot pellet gun. Winged a blue jay down at the road. Took off to finish it and realized I forgot the pellets 48stairs up on the porch. Grabbed a 2x4 and started chasing the bird around and bashed it in the road just as the neighbor lady rolled up. She didn’t think it was amusing
I shoot airgun so I can legally shoot out my backyard. Got steel targets setup from 120 to 273 yards. Pretty damn good wind practice, and it's awesome to crack a beer, listen to music and make some steel sing.

I shoot airguns, longbows, recurves, crossbows, muzzle-loaders, cap & ball revolvers, .22LR pistols and rifles all the way up to .458 Winchester Magnum.

The best way to fight the current campaign of the statists to wear away at our 2A rights is constant activism of our own and solidarity. Of all of the gun owners in America, how many are members of the NRA? About 4 million. That is a pitifully low number.
Forums like this one, Arfcom and TFL can be used for legislative firemissions. When a bill is introduced anywhere, it gets posted online. Everybody who gives a damn will see it and read it and understand it's implication. The more people that respond to such bills and take the initiative to snail-mail their elected officials or engage in other forms of constructive activism, it shows the proponents of the bills that people are watching them and paying attention to them.
Sadly, this is only going to work partially. It takes a lot of effort to make a difference, and though it is frustrating for a lot of folks, this is still a nation at peace and the ballot box is the main mechanism of action. So we just have to use what is available and most effective to us and not come off to the fence-sitters as kooks or nutjobs. Those are the folks we have a chance of convincing to be on our side.
I would add take people shooting . Infect as many as you humanly can . I just this week have a guy taking me up on my offer . It reminded me that I've been a little lax this year with inspiring new shooters .
I would also add that let them shoot a .22LR rifle or pistol the first time around. Even an air gun, shooting at soup cans in the back yard can be a good way to get someone interested in shooting.
If they like the small stuff, they may be interested in shooting larger caliber firearms.
