What's Your Favorite Color? Bolt Gun Suggestions.

Happy Veterans day everyone.

So I'm relatively new to the long range game. I have been toying around with the idea of getting a new 6.5 CM rifle and maybe hitting some of the local club matches. My budget is flexible around $1K each for rifle and optic. Now I have been seriously looking at the Howa HCR, but there is also the RPR and Savage BA10 Stealth around that price range.

Is there something I would be giving up with one over the others? Do they all perform roughly the same?

Here's the twist. I'm also on the taller side of things at 6"7", so I'm going to need some adjustability.

For a tall guy I would go with the RPR
Although I do like the Howa action bettter

My favorite color is FDE. Hint: buy Tikka T3X and a SWFA fixed 10X with that budget and out shoot the rifles you thought you wanted.

Tikka. T3, T3X, CTR, doesn’t matter they will all shoot. You will be very happy with that choice.

My vote goes RPR. The one I had was a hammer. Lots of great barrel options and more than good enough aftermarket support.

For the budget i vote CTR. Better from the start but with tons of options to upgrade down the line without sacrificing anything

I’ve shot the howa and it’s defiantly worth getting. The rpr is nice but you can get the best color of multicam in the howa
