Set the tilt tub in its final resting place this morning. Turned out to be a pretty good looking piece. Everyone wants a bonnet on it now so I guess that’s the next project when I get back to the shop

Busy week at home and work. Enjoying all the cool views from you fellas. Earlier this week took the time for a visit at Vortex. Drive by it all the time. Beautiful facility and first class folks.
Ty had a good day. He’s been super busy with school and basketball, so we made time today to change things up a bit. Pond hockey, then home to sight in his new stick. A day out in the cool weather wears him out a bit but good for him.
Working by myself, but a bud let me use his bucket truck. So saved me a million trips up and down the ladders.
Got a pic of the overhead door header I made and then
it hooked up to the pulley and lawn mower that pulled it up in place.
I didn't take a shot w it finished, I was drinking some beeros
and forgot, tommarrow tho.

Thats approximately 10.5" of rain....was that one day? We we're "forecast 7" for Thursday/Friday. Flash flood, etc, ect. I didn't get out the yard stick to verify

Beautiful Moon last night and this morning. Went to bed looking out the window to 6 Deer bedded in the yard. Got up to Ice and 29 degrees. Stunning PNW morning!

I have a hard time throwing out wood scraps, especially solid hardwood trimmings. So I spent way too long gluing up a bunch of 3/4" oak that came from ripping a bunch of boards for a desk I built last year. I didn't really know what I was going to use the glue-up for, but here's the way it turned out:

Been having visits from these guys and about 60 more of their friends. They're beautiful creatures but can be really destructive. Fortunately, they also taste good.

Fiberglass itchy fucky shit removal
Day 1-
Felt padded membrane and reinforced 12 MIL Poly Liner installation
Day 2 -
2 inches high density closed cell spray foam applied. Foam board cut and fitted behind and around existing equipment where needed.
Another home project crossed off the list.
I HATE crawl spaces, and I swear I'd sleep under there tonight with no concerns.

Nice looking job. I hate insulation of all kinds. I've since repented, but I belonged to the carpenter's union in the early 1970's and the last jobs to be filled from the union hall were always High & Heavy and insulation; one might get you killed and the other made you itch and cough.
