Yes.
NOTHING drives bass nuts the way the spinner I posted does.
I have caught more big bass on that spinner than all others combined.
You run it fast, just under the surface, creating a wake on the surface, and they will not ignore it.

Tuck, I'm willing to bet the secret is in the blade, the rest of it looks pretty straightforward. That blade problably makes a lotta "wumpa wumpa" as it's spinning around. I have used the Mepps, as Barney suggested and was somewhat successful.

For my Salmon/river fishing, I use a Kitimat spoon. @ 3/8ths of an ounce, I can huck that thing almost over to the opposite bank and cover a lot of river with each cast. Caught a lot of nice Coho's with them. Probably not an appropriate lure for your useage though.

Hmmm.......looks somewhat ornate, fairly high quality (?) I assume it might be worth some money ? But, the trick would be in finding the right buyer I suppose. That’s if you were even thinking about selling it. What are the ponies about ? Do you clean/paint them with the intention of selling them ? Or, is it a Grandkids sort of thing ?

It's not really high quality, if you plug it in he turns about 45 degrees back and forth and waves his hand.

I've never seen that before), 21 rounds in mystery lapua brass, and 20 rounds in lapua-federal(?) he shot like 10 years ago. The headstamp looks very different and the other lapua and casings weigh a bit more than the other lot of lapua, but he don't mind. Gonna go take him to his first match this coming Sunday. I figured 42 grains across the board would be a safe charge, guess I'll find out

Initially that was my thought of course, but just getting him out shooting is going to far overshadow any downfalls in the inconsistant ammunition velocities. I'm also going to shoot my .308 alongside so I can give him cheater dope during the match to hopefully get him on a few plates. I haven't shot my 308 in years in a match.

Really don't have family in Tampa. We vacation there and my father in law is the one that stays down there for 2-3 months. In the winter my boys have school, my wife's a teacher, and I drive truck most of the time. Maybe when the boys are out of school we might try to figure out a way to be snowbirds but for now we gotta have insurance and that means my wife teaches.

Finally got the Bug operational again. Gutted the old wiring, made and put in a new harness, fuse box, etc... and upgraded to LED everything. Next up, replacing the wiper motor, radio, cup holders, wheel bearings, valve train, timing, tires.....

Barely got the sleep outta me eye an just was gett'n go'n down the road a piece when a Herd uh Elk Steaks tried to commit suicide. Bout 40 of'm were piling outta one of my buddies yard and field. They cross here all the damn time to go tear up his yard n fences. Oh they pay for it in November every year, but they just keep coming back for Nom Nom. Silly bastards were just standing in the road when I cam around the corner and was heading down the little incline there. I know better than to get too close to'm. My Celica I use to have got smacked around by a Herd in the fog one night coming home from work. That was not a fun experience.

Wish I coulda got my phone outta my uniform a bit quicker. Woulda made a really cool vid the way they hauled ass in the road slipping all over. See the amount of mud they drug across the road? There's a few older folks and younger that road hunt looking for where they've been crossing during the season. Then they set up 'a legal distance' from the road and pop'm at first light when they're heading back to the hills and big timber. Pretty effective.

We normally get our obligatory 3-4 nice days a year, then we're good. When you measure your rainfall in feet AND double digits, that tells ya it's gonna rain like hell more days than not.

Thankfully you have a great sense of humor, you need it to live in a frickin rain forest. Our winters are pretty much sun less, but we make up for it during the 2 1/2 months of summer.

We've been getting spikehorns and does going through the front yard lately and we're in a subdivision. I think they're getting tired of eating washed up trout off the front lawn and looking for new delicacies, like the wife's roses. Not a good move on their part.

We usually go about 4 to 5 months of 38 degrees and alternating fog/drizzle to cows pissing on flat rocks and all points in between. It's really fun when we get 3 feet of new snow in the lowlands in December/January. If you've been around long enough, you know the next thing to happen is it will warm up to 50 degrees and start pissing down rain. Then, the floods start. Rinse and repeat. When a Seattleite is born, they get put into a receiving blanket, then wrapped in Goretex and Xtratuffs.

You see the mailbox on the other side of the road where the Elk are dittying? Use to go right up there, hit the timber in the dark and wait for those 2 to start shooting. Set your watch, cuz you're gonna have Elk on the fly in your lap in 3, 2, BANG. Like clock work. Usually 3-5 legal Bulls in that herd. Very healthy. Must have something to do with the Roses.

I was in Yakima from '96-'00. It was pretty over run with Mexican gangs and drug running, like the tri cities. We lived up in terrace heights. So not technically in the city. It was pretty nice out there but it was getting really built up when I left. The upland bird hunting was awesome out there!! I used to mountain bike over the ridge to the National Guard base, the guy at the gate would just wave as I rode by, would go lift with the health nuts and shoot with the gun nuts, times are certainly different out there now. I was all over that huge training area and had no idea the NSA facility was out there! When thinking back after I found out it was there I remembered a few times when a group of 4-5 black Ford Excursions would role through that just looked a little out of place.

Here in the Northeast we deal with the humidity, it could get really miserable, 90 degree heat with 90 % humidity is brutal. I'm mostly working outside throughout the summer and will usually drop a good 10 lbs. by it's end! By June I'm usually praying for a few days of clouds and rain, the fishing really turns on! It is mostly emotionally challenging. I was born into it, so I "acclimatized" at a very early age. When we talk to transplants, it is invariably in the summer, on a sunny day. They always say "it's so gorgeous here, I can't imagine why Seattle/the PNW gets such a bad rap about the weather". We just bust out laughing and tell them that they need to live here for an entire year and go through a winter. If they can get through a winter without committing Hari Kiri, they'll probably be good to go. If they can't handle 97 days straight of 38 degrees, gray and raining, they'll be moving back to where they came from ex poste haste. There have been a lot of washouts, particularly (cali)fernians. Can't say as I blame them though. OTOH, as Geno mentioned, there's the eastside (eastern slope of the Cascades, including Yakima) and it is really, really nice. He is right about the drug gangs though. WA is an interesting state geographically/climate wise. We have Pacific Ocean (1J), rainforests, inland saltwater (Puget Sound), many, many lakes, Cascade mountains (lots of great skiing/hunting), eastern slope, Volcanoes (Ranier, Adams, St. Helens, etc.) high deserts, Columbia river, Snake river, then, on into Idaho/Montana and the Rockies. There is a ton of stuff to do, if you go look for it (and dress accordingly). Now, if we could just rid ourselves of the coastal, liberal scourge.
