It's a '79 CJ5 that's built and has the paint & decals for the Golden Eagle (which was done before I bought it). But I'm pretty sure it isn't a factory Golden Eagle because the emissions lable says it was a 258 engine originally. It's a 304 now. Here is another picture of it:

Did 11.5 miles of single track with the little man for his first moto trail ride.
I know this isn't bench rest quality.

Took the family out shooting 22s today. We had a blast shooting our pumpkins. The oldest would t let me get a good picture of her.
All and all it was a fun day.

Took a first time hunter out to a shooting house this AM for youth weekend. He hammered one at 30 yards with his 6.5 CM shooting my 120g Nosler ballistic tip load. Little high and back, but he got the deer and we had fun tracking about 80 yards. Think he’s gonna be hooked.

Tried a CZ 457 varmint with CCI SV. Leupold vx2 on 6x. No pic, but if I had some time I think it could do the same or better. Trigger is good.

First sun on the east side of the mountain, yesterday morning. 29 and light snow this morning, so I'm sure it'll look a lot different when it clears. @1J04 Brrrr is right. That's bone chilling down there.

And yes, cold as crap here this morning for us. Roads weren't that bad driving into the Dew Drop Inn, but the Bridges were a different story. Tad slick. We're in for WEEKS of fricking rain now. And I mean WEEKS! The Evergreen State is getting ready to get wet!

Great unit. I used to hunt north of Hay Springs just west of the Metcalf area in the 80's. Lewin and Serbusek ground. No more, that area is for young studs.

Woke up this morning to thirteen degrees and six inches of new snow. After a few days of 50+, it's a welcome sight for sitting in the deer stand.

Power is out and I'm running off of residual charges on my iphone, jetpack and laptop. I'm willing to bet the line crews know their shit, have been pre-staged and will get us back up in no time.
If not, it's gonna be a half can of Pringles and copious amounts of Tito's for dinner.....

Line crews in this neck of the woods got it down good. Only thing holding them back is the wind more than likely.
