I am customizing an old Rem 550-1 .22, I wan't to put a vent rib on it like a Rem 600 had. Anyone know where I can get a small length of rib? Like 19". From an old shotgun barrel would be fine.

Brownells sells a Rem. 600 rib, both aluminum and steel, #429-000-001 Steel Rib and #429-000-002 Aluminum Rib, not very low cost though.

Pachmayer used to sell a vent rib with adhesive for shotguns...I had a Ruger .44 Maggie that someone had installed that on...very rugged and stayed on for all the years I shot it.
