Yes. It hovers around 11% of sticker price regardless of quantity. $800 worth of goods still comes to $90 in shipping, but still nets around 18 cents per round for OK ammunition. A little cheaper than other places for plinking ammo.

For one 80$ brick my total comes out to $110 without a sales tax. That's closer to 50% of product cost. Shipping plus signature plus handling.

Is norma tac 22 worth 22cpr right now? If so maybe I should shut up and buy 2 bricks? I'm new to precision 22 thanks for the help

I went back and the charges don't double with 2x the ammo. I guess if you are buying a few bricks it will work out less per round.

Its relative to time and your personal situation. Currently, for $110-120 you can pick up at will a 22lr brick of copper plated junk.

I just purchased some norma tac to try it out as I read someone on this forum trying it out with decent results. If its better than the plinking ammo and selling at the same price then its a decent price.

However, nothing right now is a good price if your used to the ammo prices from late 2018. Buy some now and keep buying it only when you need it, or take a risk and buy in volume now to insulate your budget from further price increases.

Personally, I have enough that I can wait around for some Eley, SK, or CCI SV to show up at better prices. If you have a few weeks to wait, then I would recommend the same.

Same. F Midway. I have 14 bricks in the mail from various smaller vendors at reasonable prices.
Midwayusa is one of the cheapest I've found so far...
Got 500rds of SK for about $85.
With the current climate we are in I'd say get what you can get if you need it badly, otherwise we wait.
I don't like Givin one cent to price gouging fools but I've seen many others with higher prices than Midwayusa.

Noob here... just getting into precision .22!

Can someone tell me what a "normal" price would be for (brick):
1. Lapua Center-X
2. Midas +

I can get these pretty easily locally but don't want to get gouged (too bad). LoL
My heart bleeds for you. I’ve shot sk yellow box for
Man that ammo shop shipping keeps running me off
the “signature required” runs me off.

Yea I picked up 1000 rds of SK match and Std plus. I’m good for matches this year. I over paid of course but needed it due to just getting into precision shooting. it was my first ammo purchase in over a year. Didn’t buy anything in 2020. I’m stocked on everything else.

I picked a bad year to get into precision 22 shooting, and my son comes with me to all the matches, double ammo at near double price adds up quick...

I'm with you... just getting into the sport! I don't give a crap tho -- I'm just following the "story of my life"... hahaha. I _always_ seem to get into hobbies at the wrong time, so I've given up on caring about prices and such. I'm living my best life, NOW, because I have no clue what tomorrow holds.

It's not reckless -- I just know I can't take anything with me when I go to hang out with (as Norman Greenbaum would say) "The Spirit In The Sky".

Archery has been something I am working on. It's pretty fun.
Yep. Still in stock at pre-covid prices!

Actually a great idea, I learned shooting a bow as a young teenager in Germany in the 70's. Should get one and pick it up again... I like that archery kit they sell.

I recommend it. It is a satisfying alternative for when I cannot make it to the rifle range. Same shooting fundamentals, but everything is exaggerated over a shorter range. If your groups get too tight, just move farther back. At 15-20 cents per shot over the average lifetime of an arrow, this is one of my most rewarding purchases in the past few years.
