All,

I'm in need of a case trimmer. I like the idea of the combined cutters for a couple reasons, foremost being consistency. But I'm having trouble deciding on which one to get! Hence, I now turn to the Collective. Who makes the best one and do any fit other manufactures trimmers?

Thanks,

db

Giraud, if you can AFFORD IT...., Still Saving for one here.

RCBS 3 way cutter heads, I own 2, one for .22 for 5.56 brass, works AWESOME when adjusted properly, and one for 30 cal, again, read instructions and adjust properly. Freaking awesome invention there. Pricey also, Around $60.....

I purchased a Little Crow Gunworks World's Finest Trimmer because I couldn't afford a Giraud.

I picked up one of these for .223 and it works like a champ, and I wouldn't hesitate to get one in another caliber. Make sure you wear safety glasses as it does fling the pieces pretty darn good.

However, like the others are saying the giraud is awesome, use mine for .264

you have a giraud and the WFT? Have you ever thought about selling your WFT and just using the giraud or do each have their own benefits?

Yeah, funny story... I picked up the WFT, and literally got the Giraud the next week when a buddy decided he needed to sell all of his gear to keep his wife.

I told him he made the wrong choice... LOL

Forgot to add that it basically just keeps me from having to mess with the Giraud once it's set. So if I need to trim out a boatload of .223 it makes it nice to just run them in the WFT. I only load those for running the AR's not really for any precision. That's not to say that the WFT couldn't be used for precision - it's actually very consistent.

Makes me wonder if I should have used the money I spent on the WFT towards the Giruad....

From what I've seen them for on the used market - you can likely sell it (the WFT) for real close to what you bought it for.

So if I had to make that decision... Yeah, I would spend the money on the Giraud (you could always justify keeping the WFT as a "backup") ;)

Looks like I'll use the WFT for now... start saving for the Giraud with .223 and .308 attachments and then sell the WFT later.

I hate the recommendations in this forum ;)
