Re: Which 308 AR

Sig 716. Ok i finally made it out to do a some load development. The short barrel cost me about 330 fps and the trigger needs some improvement but the groups got a lot better. 168 grain nosler cc. 45 grains bl-c2. here are the pics.

Re: Which 308 AR

I know you said that you are looking for a ar platform but have you ever considered looking at an m14. Ive been using an m14ebr this deployment and its more then i would have expected out of it. shoots .5 moa or less. i know you can get one for well under your budget if your willing to switch platforms.

Okie said: "I've bought I don't know how many m14 mags (5$) and moded them in 5 mins that work great."

Could you please tell me where you get m14 mags for five bucks and also would you please explain the mod. I am really interested in doing that. I did purchase a five pack of Armalite mags and found them to be excellent. The price was $32.76 each including shipping which I thought was not too bad......unless you compare that to $5.00 :)

Thanks
Lennie

Re: Which 308 AR

cdnnsports.com has m14 mags for 12 a piece. not sure how good they are but thats what i have found. i have found the aluminum ebr chassis for between 650 and 700 new. found some triggers for around 70. then its just however much you want to spend on and m14 or m1a barreled action. I have found some very nice m14's for between 1000 to 1400.

Re: Which 308 AR

The LMT MWS is a great rifle and I enjoyed mine. I thought the factory trigger was pretty dang nice and it was very accurate out to 300yds (my range's limit) with cheap ammo. For some reason the recoil was odd for me... not too much, just punchy or something, I dont know but I flinched too much with it. Compared to the LaRue or the Armalite it just didnt work for me so I sold it. Obviously this is just my experience, as everyone is different with recoil.

Saving up for the LaRue now.

Ive recently had a chance to shoot the LWRC and its pretty nice.... but the price... wow...
