My POF just arrived at my dealer today so I have to get going on purchasing an optic. So far I have narrowed it down to an Elcan 1.5-6x, or a NF 2.5-10x32. I will primarily be shooting to 150-500yd. with an occasional 500-800yd. trip mixed in. I know the Elcan will suit the shorter ranges where the NF will be better at the longer ranges. Since I'll be shooting at the shorter ranges more than long, I was leaning towards the Elcan. Although, I'm totally open to either of these or if there are any others you guys think might work.

I know you narrowed it down, but just because i'm argumentative by nature.....How about the IOR 1.5-8X ? Great glass, tanklike build with either with a CQB reticule or duplex/dot. I have one on my FAL, but when my 16" 308 POF arrives on Monday it will be making the move....

My only concern with a scope like the st10 is that the objective might be too large. With the added rail height of the POF the scope may set too high. I will definitely check out the IOR though.

If you are looking for precision the NF 2.5-10x32mm if you are looking for a scope to shoot steel with or close range to midrange the ELCAN Specter DR 1.5x / 6x.
We have the 2.5-10x32mm on order and should be in stock very soon and we have the ELCAN Specter DR 1.5x / 6x in stock.

That's a great looking rifle. Have you found a round that matches the ballistic reticle in the NF.
