Re: Who makes accurate AK-47's
The SKS has some accuracy potential, but unlike the AK, it can also respond to bedding. I beddded mine similarly to how one beds a Garand and it got a lot better. The Choate Dragunov uses an accuracy wedge that snugs the action up very nicely and this also improves accuracy.
I'm not hip to getting rifles like the AK or SMLE, with two piece stocks, to respond to bedding. I think that such rifles may or may not have the same potentials for load development and accuracy as one piece stock systems do. At any rate, I see the 7.62x39 (M43) round as a sorta 30PPC (if that's not completely unreasonable), and have had a long, if intermittent, love affair with the cartridge.
I think the cartridge has good potential, but I also think that the SKS is the rifle to do the semiauto development with.
I think the Savage Scout is an even better one for the job, and that's where I'm doing my current development, using the HDY 110gr V-Max. Right now, I'm into H-4198 and IMR-4895.
The SKS trigger is..., enh... Working on it is a good way to turn the rifle irrevocably into a full auto. Don't mess with it, you'll just end up needing to replace it. There are folks who make their livings doing them, and I think they are magicians (that which is indistinguishable from magic is magic).
This is where the Savage Scout with its Accu-Trigger and Accu-Stock comes into my picture.
