So, we seem to have a never ending supply of, so called, shooters who think that 1/4 MOA is perfectly reasonable. Lets see the proof. I want to see BRE results over 300 rounds & F Class over 300 rounds. Show me the results or cowards you must be.

This is a typical statement from people who recognise that probability is a real thing but, don't realise that because it is probability, it will happen again at some point as you continue to shoot.
At some point, even the worst grouping rifle will shoot a 3 or 5 shot 0.2" group, it just won't happen very often.

That’s what do anyway if shooting under 300. Just pic a spot and dial around it..never understood guys wasting money on other targets etc if shooting an accurate rifle.

My AR ammo test ended up with a few shotgun patterns from the awesome quality ammo I chose to test.
Same rifle - .75moa to 5moa just by selecting different ammo!

First time back out after a few years. Just did this today. 6.5 man bun, 24” Proof prefit barrel, gen 1 American Rifle Nucleus action in a MDT ESS chassis. Trigger Tech Diamond 2 stage at 3lbs. 5 shots at 300 yards, started raining after the last shot. Think my crappy abilities works out to just a little over 1/2 moa.
I don't see a distinction between "hunting" & "target" loads.
Shoot 10 shot groups with what you intend to shoot with & that's the result.
Five shots. .223 @ 100yds. Rem700 tactical 20” heavy barrel.
at 71 years old i now days always throw my targets away ,that's using four 30 round magazines of 7.62x39 @ 50 meters ish but it's an 18x18 target and all on the paper beyond that i just yell i'm gonna shoot them with my 300 win mag and they surrender ....even the targets give up

I plan on shooting some 10 round groups on video, but I'll have to have a full day so I can edit out all the shitty results and cherry pick...
