Im native born and raised Texan. I only left for the military and Alaska. I know all about the people from other states. The people you speak of brought arms and fought. The people now coming to every state from the cancer that started in cali want to disarm people.. as someone already showed the flag.. come and take it. They try any red flag crap there I’m either starting my war or helping my family move. Otherwise I’ll be in Alaska were there is still enough remote areas to have true freedom.

Yeah, Robert Francis was a wakeup call to a lot of people. The folks who don't care much about anything outside of their own lives are primed and ready for someone to tell 'em how to fix shit.
Since no one else seems to want to do that job, I have volunteered. It'll be a spectacular day when when more people than have voted in the last decade in my city demand that city council hold meetings on weekends so the folks who do shit for a living can voice their opinions on public record.

I know a lot of far Left Liberals that support gun ownership and the 2A more than republicans and folks that profess to be Conservative. It's not black and white anymore and never will be again. After all they know they cannot win locally in many places without being "pro-2A".

I'll admit I moved to TX over 10 years ago. I couldn't wait to get out of CA. I was a transplant there for work and when the chance came to move to Texas I jumped on it. I see the license plates from out of state, such as NY, NJ and of course CA all over North Texas. They left their shit holes for the jobs Texas has and they will bring their voting habits with them even though every one can see thats how their home states turned to shit. I love Texas and I will fight to keep Texas the Texas I moved to. However, I see they writing on the wall. I believe Collin County will be blue the next election.

I think a big contributor to the divide is social media. You can take something that has been so far twisted or such a small and isolated issue/incident and make it seem like it is sweeping the nation. Combine that with people that 1. lack reading comprehension and 2. rarely read past the headline, and boom, you've got a recipe for uninformed opinions and online hysteria.
We have to stop with the "Us vs Them" bullshit. Screaming (aka commenting/sharing/posting on social media) about "them" doesn't solve anything and just fuels the divide/perceived divide.

Puto O'Rourke raise over $80 million dollars for his failed senate race. Most of that money was from out of state, CA & NY liberals that wanted a liberal in a TX senate seat. That senate race (Cruze/Puto), I believe set records for the total amount of money spent for a single race. The Gov's race was a joke. Next? No. Eventually? Yes. As someone who lives here Id say 2028. But there is a lot of history to be made between now and then- the pendulum swings both ways- major events change voting patterns, etc. so its not written in stone. That said out of the 600K people who fled CA last year, 86K of them moved to TX- we took the brunt of it for sure.
People are fleeing Illinois in a mass exodus....I know a bunch of them have fled to Texas and lots of them are not gonna fit in politically. Texas is where there are jobs and prosperity so lot's of folks are gonna flee to Texas running away from the declining Republic. Texas was better off as it's own Republic..maybe it'll secede and build border walls to keep the Yankees out.

In all honesty, now that the social issues have largely been put to rest (gay marriage), the conversation is changing. If the Rs can pivot their outreach to socially conservative immigrants and attract moderates, the demographic momentum will be blunted. For instance, a child in drag may be acceptable in NY - but that's not going to fly with Hispanics in the Southwest.
Here is how i see it. When everything turns blue(at least old red strongholds) people will migrate to the least blue and reverse the blue trend in those areas/states. Maybe not as fast as we would like it, but it will happen. Once enough people wake up and realize what the left is doing, the pendulum will swing the other way. Either that or we will all be in fema camps or the boogalo will get kicked off and settle things one way or another.

I'm not hating on the wrong people- the problem is that you've allowed yourself to be distracted and confused by all that, when it's really very simple. There are huge, obvious differences between the two parties and their policies, and daily examples by many of the democrat candidates and pols prove how anti-American they are, so anyone who hasn't #WalkedAway from the dem party is essentially suffering from cognitive dissonance and permanent suspension of disbelief.
I'm not arguing what a person's core values may or may not be, I'm saying it's akin to mental illness to vote for a party that opposes one's core values.
