I have a Sabre Defence barrel and cannot load to AA load data spec sheets. The bullet gets pig jammed into the lands. I talked to Bill Alexander and thats their "Compound Thoat". He said it is supposed to "fool" the bullet.
The only round I could load by following AA load Specs is the 123gr Lapua Scenar. I dont know if it would be safe shooting those bullets jammed like that.
I purchased some Factory AA 123gr. Scenars and 120gr. Nosler BT. The lapuas are fine but when I load and eject a Nosler i can see land marks and its kind sticky ejecting. i was told it is GTG by Bill A.
Sabre D. uses AA specs on their barrels. Some dont such as Satern, im maybe thinking of getting one of their bbls.
Im sure a couple hundred rounds will wear out the throat enough to seat them to AA load specs. But on the other hand sometimes into the lands is good for accuracy.
Is anyone using either of these bbls and handloading for them?
If so what is your data for OALs on loaded rounds?
