Think I found the answer to my own question. Found a couple of articles that recommend taking honey before and after your workout....
It is supposed to provide energy when taken 20 to 30 min prior to workout, and a good source of healthy carbs to combine with your protein after a workout.
It is also full of antioxidants and other goodies. Both articles recommended a tablespoon per serving, and to make sure you use all natural pure honey.
