Why I carry a gun.

Where’s the story with the teen who beat the guy to death cause he wouldn’t give him money at a state fair?

Some of us can’t carry cause of tyrants and their foot soldiers.
Well of course I carry for that also. Day to day carry of a pistol will be for human on human crime more than likely.

I own "equipment" for a fight against tyrants.
My example was but of one available. I do not know of the example you describe but I am sure it is as valid as any other.

'The motive for the attack appears to be robbery, police said, and the suspects are still at large. '

I'm rather surprised that the article attributes the attack to robbery rather than using the opportunity to make it about homophobia. Maybe the thugs were gender-confused, trans-something and homosexual, as well?

Politicians who remove your right to protect yourself with a gun while keeping their rights to protect themselves with a gun should be trampled on during a million man march only if everyone is wearing cleats.

Why Carry a Gun?

My old Grandpa said to me, "Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's when he becomes too old to take a whoopin'."

I don't carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun because I'm evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the World.

I don't carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

I don't carry a gun because I'm angry; I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate..

I don't carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron: Free citizens must protect themselves because police do not protect you from crime; they just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a whoopin'!

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

I carry a gun because when seconds count a cop is just minutes away.

I carry a gun because its my right to.

I carry a gun because Im old, I break easy, I mend slow, and though I want peace, quiet, and to be left alone, if you fuck with me too much, Im going to waste your sorry ass.

I have saved an email for years. It was sent to me by a friend when he was deployed. it read pretty much the same; but after the last line about police protection, it ended with: The average response time, nationwide, for a 911 call is 13 minutes; the average response time to a .357 magnum is 1300 feet per second.

Great little poem though
