Hi guys,
I haven't had the heart nor any opportunity to do any shooting for a while and don't expect to get back at it until sometime in October. My lovely wife of 24+ years passed away on August 24th from cancer, which she had been struggling with for the past two years. Joanie would be disappointed if I gave up target shooting, so I will be back, but for now I am hor's de combat.

Personal best with iron sights using my approximately 100 year old rook rifle and my 70 year old eyes despite the 5-15MPH winds which blew almost straight out of the east. Oh well, I'm off to see the eye doctor next week.

First time ever to be able to shoot at 300 yards with rimfire 22 long rifle. Not a great score, but I had a very difficult time ever reaching the 300-yard line. I know the key to shooting well is the score with all 10 bullets but this is an honest score!

Attached are this mornings cards. God granted us beautiful weather here N. Texas this morning and I shot my best ever Factory Rifle target. Had hoped to do better with my Martini but the winds came up, started switching around and I lost concentration.

Lee, they were challenging. I could not find a hold off to save my life on the first two cards, then I found one and shot it for the next 6 cards and agg'ed 1991 for the 8 card match. Slightly better than my National Agg, but I left 600 points on the table with the first two cards.

I'll be back next year to hopefully shoot better!

Tommie, nice shooting at 300 yards. I would be lucky just to get all the rounds on paper.... Very challenging even on a calm wind day... I have your score posted.

Larry, at least you kept at it and didn't quit I seen where guys just quit and give up. my first ARA win I agg. 1293 that is how bad it was, and I won by 2-3 points! as they say not till the fat lady sings.
