Maggie’s Wood pellet smoker/grill who has one?

I’ve got a masterbuilt propane smoker that I love! Set the temperature and just periodically add more wood chunks. So long as you have plenty of propane it’s set it and forget it. Just my $0.02.

I've had the Rec-Tec 680 for two years now, some of the best meals I ever cooked came off it. Turkey, pork butt, jerky, ribs, meatloaf, tri-tip, poultry. I even do mac and cheese on it....yummy
I mostly use Lumberjack pellets supreme blend. It's an oak, hickory and cherry blend.
I do more than meat on it. I have done apple pie, biscuits and cinnamon rolls smoked with apple wood pellets.

Curious how the baked goods taste. Slight smoky flavor? Not overpowering?

The apple pie and cinnamon rolls are great, the biscuits not bad but not sure I'd do it again. Might of been the type of biscuits I used or maybe try a different wood before I give up on them. I'll do another batch with the supreme blend next time I'm cooking something else just to see.
The apple smoke is subtle and not at all over powering.

I'll have to try the apple pie on the smoker.

I have a Rec-Tec pellet smoker. You would be hard pressed to find another that works as well. Delivered, they run about $1500. They manage temperature to within a couple degrees (using a probe and feedback automatically, as good as a decent KitchenAid oven). Good applewood pellets are about $25-30 for a 40# bag. (You don't use pellet stove/heating pellets)

For baby back ribs:
About 90 minutes of smoke and dry rub at 225. then 3 hours in a pan of apple juice at 275 (causes the meat to break down), then about 90 minutes naked with Devils Spit sauce. Around 6 hrs total, meat falls off bone.

Being a good guy, I bought one for my childhood best friend. I have gone through about 500# of pellets since I bought it.

Shrimp, pork chops, and prime rib also cook nicely.
