I’m just sick and tired of being bombarded with this bullshit. Like I don’t see any other groups being recognized other than BLM and gay people. Are we not a diverse country without everyone having to virtue signal? If you want to be gay then fine whatever but don’t be plastering that shit everywhere all the time. Most of us are strong enough to ignore it but I do wonder if this is why young kids these days are so confused about what fucking gender they are. We didn’t have this issue in the 80’s or 90’s.
I have a theory about the alphabet people and other groups that seem to need recognition and attention. I believe it is thrown in people’s faces because they need other people’s approval to validate their own decision because they are not comfortable with their decision. If someone is comfortable with a decision they make, do they really care what others think or need other’s approvals? However, if someone isn't sure of their decision, they generally need approval or disapproval from others to validate or change their decision.
For example, and speaking for myself, I don’t need a heterosexual month, nor do I feel the need to tell people that I am heterosexual because I am comfortable with my decision. Therefore, I don’t need other people to validate my decision and don’t care if they disagree. All my decisions are based on who I am and what I believe. I “know” who I am.
Another example, I lost the lower part of my leg in a motorcycle wreck, f_cking c_unt. So, I do not wear shorts in public because I am uncomfortable about the attention it draws. I don’t shove it in people’s faces and try to get their approval or disapproval. I am comfortable with my decision because I know who I am.
I too am tired of the shit constantly being some “important” topic. I really don’t care what choices someone makes, within the bounds of law. This has to do with people that need the attention and approval of others to make themselves feel like they are making the right decisions in their life. Very shallow, very narcissistic people that don’t necessarily “know” who they are or believe in their own decisions.

I hated to see the Corps jump headfirst into the chest thumping competition with the other branches to see who was the most tolerant, and willing to alter their entire ethos for an extremely small percentage. I think there are more and more starting to lean towards Wade’s side tho as many have attempted to change the system from within or have watched others try and change from within only to watch them fail. The problem isn’t with the individual. I don’t believe everyone that goes to DC, for example, is just inherently evil, I just think that good men go there and become corrupted. I’ve witnessed it with my own two eyes, many times over, and for that reason alone many would say that those who have taken over it are the problem and you could never send enough good men there at the same time at this point to fix it. Perhaps you could, but it won’t be overnight. The problem we have with letting it get this bad to begin with is that in order to make the change from within as you eluded to, you have to play their games and play the system to ever get promoted to a point to where you could make policy changes. It’s their rules now and you either play by them or be ousted, but you certainly won’t ever get promoted unless you play their game. And I think that’s Wades point, do you give up your morals and beliefs to play the game, even if temporary, to get promoted to be able to enforce the change? If so, that doesn’t sound like people of good character and even if they want the right things. Now if you are talking about making change on a local level and building or rebuilding the trust of the community then I absolutely believe you c an start on a local level and make real change. Again, neither of you are wrong, it’s just how we get there and can we get there?
