WTF were they thinking?

You know what I bet will? Blinds. Like 80's shades. The cameras are usually up high and looking down at an angle. Cops will be behind you and looking directly at the plate on the same plane. So thin blinds, horizontal and about 1.5" wide and 1.5" apart and angled right should block the view of the camera but not anyone behind you. Particularly if you angle the plate itself back too. Never thought of this until you posted that...

May have to do that to mine, because it gets old going to court to tell them "it wasn't me" which ends up with them throwing it out as usual. Those things are such a scam.

Ive read that done right it works. You can fool the facial recognition cameras by changing certain highlights of the face likethe bridge of the nose and forehead...sunblock and a low slung ball cap.

Pretty sure in Texas it's illegal to have any kind of obstruction on the plate, but I dunno if that covers overhanging stuff to block a view from above.

I think it'd be a little safer to have a super stealthy apparatus that completely obscured the plate on a temporary basis. Would work great for those oh-shit moments zipping through a red-light camera enabled intersection because the dicks only allowed a second or so of yellow light, or those notorious shithole intersections where the camera will snap you on a perfectly legal right on red.

Something fancier like the plates on 'The Transporter' would be awfully fun, too.
