Yeah I've hunted that area quite a bit. It's iffy. If the season gets there before the snow, its great. The last two years I hunted there it didn't, snow came first, pushing the elk to the low lands. I didn't hunt elk last yard, and as luck would have it, it would have been a good year, hunting before the snows.
You never know. As cold as it is out there right now, cold wind, 50* in Newcastle (a bit east). But its suppose to get back into the 80s at the end of the week.
If weather don't get you, you'll do fine.

i'm planing to hunt next year got 1 preference point.
also one of my customers has been hunting that area few times so he will give me some pointers where to go etc.
thinking to go for antlerless first year.
