Kicking Ass Somewhere
Understand Idaho is getting flooded with communists from Cali Oregon and Wa. State, Wyoming might have at at least another 20 years to go before the commies start trickling across the border.

Please share your recommended areas in each state and your thoughts on Idaho being over run, just hearing second hand right now, let me know if I am wrong, thanks.

I want to be close to a VA and have room to shoot, fish and ride .

Wife has given me the go ahead to start planning the final move.

Never visited WY but have been to Northern ID many times. Spent a lot of time in Hayden and it is a beautiful area. If you are an outdoorsman, it is a great place. Shooting sports and gun culture is everywhere. People are friendly. Couer d’Alene is more gentrified but still pretty grounded.

Prices are still low. Winters are freaking cold for a Texan but I am sure you’ll make us proud.

Idaho is ruined. Commies from Oregon, Washington and California have taken over Boise and surrounding areas. Wyoming has most of the Commies staying in the Jackson Hole valley. We also have them headed off south of Cheyenne at the border, but they keep sneaking in. Casper and Wind River valley might be the best places to lay low. But you didn’t hear it from me.

At UW in Laramie. The entire State population is about the size of San Jose Ca. Fishing is a 15 minute drive from campus. People are cool.

Here is where he would often go between classes and fish. Lot of open country- image just before the snows. Wyoming has maybe the most Hide members on here per capita :) I am sure they can tell you that it might be cooler than hell to an outsider, then a day later balmy 34. :)

But it gets cold. It was 4 the other day in Laramie and 28 in Paso Robles, I was in Kuiu down while he was hunting in a T-shirt!

Btw hit that thing while it was running as fast as I have ever seen a pig run at 450y - thing immediately summersaulted into a dead pile. Not sure I’ve ever seen a shoot like that except in some Quigley Down Under type movie.

Even with that, his words, I’ll will not ever live in CA.

While most CA people are like a virus, not all. A few of us are not infected, vote the right way but to them it is like we’re are a tick living on a dying animal - they don’t think we can influence their fate one way or the other.

They’re already in their new battery powered car, with no concept of the real resources it took to build and will at the end of life; bought a brand new “green” house after the just demo’d a perfectly fine home. Most these people look down on the person who bought a used car (ultimate recycling), think they are “greener and better” than the guy who would have just painted the house they tossed in the landfill. Now they’re retiring to Denver, Austin etc.. you will not find me going from the kettle to the pot. Nor moving somewhere and trying to change the landscape trying to make it something I just moved from.

From places I’ve shot and spent a bit of time with GREAT people are Northern Washington Near Collive Washington (Snipers Hide Cup Area), Missoula MT Steller fly fishing), Cody Wyoming and a bunch of other Wyoming and MT spots are worth considering if your a hunter, fisherman our outdoor person.

Sadly Colorado, Arizona, parts of Idaho and now Texas seem are targets for my liberal state mates.

Oregon is lost. Washington is gone. Nevada over. Montana is going down too. Idaho is about 20 years from being a communist shithole like my home state of Oregon. I would choose Wyoming. Love all these states I mentioned for various reasons but not the politics. Montana has the same issue Oregon had. Small factions on the west side will eventually turn the state blue. Idaho has Boise which is on its way to being a bastion of communism for the state.

Kate Brown won the governorship of Oregon with 50.1% of the vote. 7 counties surrounding the towns of Portland and Eugene rule the state. She is the governor of Eugene and Portland. Democracy at work. I sure wish our state had an electoral college.

Interestingly Greg Walden only won the red counties in his charge with 56%. Many many people in his district are really sick of him and his lying back room deal BS. He would change parties sell out every gun owner in the state just to get another 2 year term. The woman running against him is a devout communist. The demographics in his district show that many republicans voted against him.

WYOMING- no state tax, no tax on pension payments, sensible property tax( 1/2 of what I am currently paying in Minnesota) , gorgeous scenery, dry air, WY residents please correct me if I’m wrong. I plan on retiring there around Laramie. There is a VA in Cheyenne and a VA in Denver 2 hours away. I have heard that METH is a problem but don’t know all the details.

Cali individual homeowner solar mandate. Adding up to $10,000 to the cost of a new home.

They are already moving here (AZ) like rats leaving the sinking ship.

I think it's really a form of motivation to spread the Cali-Commie Plague.

Buy more ammo, now; before AZ turns from purple to blue.

Boise is growing, its amazing how much growth in the last few years. Exploding! Which is good and bad. New roads and business everywhere. Economy is stable. Lots of new people moving in and of course, they bring where they left with them. Like every state, the masses are massing in certain areas that do or will control the whole state. Its unavoidable. How long for Idaho, who is to say but it will happen but so far, its showing around the edges. How long to become Fairfax, who is to say but the left coasties are invading along with Utahians with Boise a mini extension of SLC and Mormons.

Lewiston for me but just up the road 30 miles in Moscow its quite liberal. Just to walk the streets with your NRA, AR shirt and hat on will get funny looks and stares mostly from the college kids running the city. Not as bad as many other places I guess but lots of Kali kids going to school in Idaho. I would guess half of the kids I talked to going to school in the whole Lewiston area are from Kali, Most are not there to stay. The mandatory $12 - $15 hour Washington wage is real with Washington next door across the river. A cashier at the dollar store starts at $11,50 and hour, most fast food start at $12. And its going up. It is hurting the growth. Try to hire someone and get them to pass a drug test, forget it with WA next door. Crime is almost non exitance in Lewiston, lowest in the nation.

VA is a 3 hour bus ride to WA from the small office in Lewiston for more than a cold.

Its a good area though with Seekins, ATK, two other bullet manufactures that escape me now, Nightforce to name a few. Hunting is sub par with all the private land but fishing is outstanding for now anyways. Whitetail are large good eating with all the farming up on the Palouse but its private land.

But, I went in to F&G thinking I would get some help with varmint predator hunting and they were stone cold against it. I was shocked as the response back from F&G. When I asked around, yep they are becoming quite political. All the state camping areas in the Lewiston area have a movie night and they show an anti hunting, anti wolf control movie. Quite surreal at what I was viewing in a state camp ground at how hunters slaughter for no good reason other than self satisfaction. They are doing their best to kill off fishing too. Cant say what is going on but its at the local level.

Almost everyone is into long range with good areas to shoot. Lots a savage users with everyone using NF. There is a very secret range that is very hard to get beta on. A big range with PRS events just outside of Spokane. Never been, not my thing. I love Boomershoot, just fun and good people and a lot harder than I thought.

Lots of medium range shooting and cheap ranges that I never see any city stupidness. The ones I go to I am alone during the week out to 300/400. The cool facture is they are not like a square range but private range and shooting is open terrain. The LC Wildlife club range in Lapwi is building a 1000 yard range or its in development with NRA grant money. $50 per year. Its small, very small and constrictive with just 4 benches shooting up a narrow valley with supplied steel. The smallest right now is 3" at 500 yards. But steel of all sizes hanging for everyone out to 300 from all benches.

Constitutional carry but rarely anyone open carry even in the small towns. WA is making things so hard that just to go shopping across the snake means you have to change your way or get caught with a firearm in your rig.

While yes commies are coming like to everywhere USA, I don't believe its an epidemic yet but yes you can feel it creeping in. I understand Boise is gaining lots of huge tech industry and what they bring. How long, cant say but it will happen.

I say Lewiton and surrounding area, look at Orofino a great place to live and retire. Cheap remote good everything.

Cant say much about Wyoming other than my son lived for 1 year and hated it, crime and drugs everywhere, he liked Idaho much better but has moved back home to Fairbanks. Everyone tries at one time to leave Alaska but we all come home,

I know that N Idaho has gotten more conservative with the influx because most are fleeing the lib states for freedom. Great weather and scenery, housing is still kinda cheap. Good hunting.
Warning: We kill lots of Bambis, everyone has a gun, even the few Democrats, the woods are full of the sound of gunfire on the weekends, lots of full auto and class III too up here, most folks go to church, and we HATE communists/socialists, so if you are one you will hate it here and should not come.

Jeffrey City, WY

Thank me later

In all seriousness the wind is no joke in WY! For that sole reason I’d retire in East ID before WY. Preferably on a piece of river front property on the snake river. Either that or somewhere around Ashton or Island park. Will the commies take over Idaho before WY? Absolutely. In your lifetime? I seriously doubt it.

Lived in WY 25 years and 3 in East Idaho.

Somewhere like this is where I plan to live out my days https://www.trulia.com/p/id/swan-va...lley-id-83449--2074867176?mid=10#lil-mediaTab

You guys are aware that the “plan” is to flood all major cities with dems, just like they are doing in Texas.

That is what they are doing in eastern Oregon. Kate Brown is sending shitloads of welfare cases on buses here. We have more unwed mothers on welfare with their fuck trophys come here each and every day to burden our local public agencies. It used to be Indians and old ladies who got all the public assistance. Now its filling up with fertile unwed mothers who are going to have littler after fucking littler of welfare babies who will ALL be registered Democrats when they reach 18. Hitler had the Eugenics program. The Democrats have illegal aliens and the democrat breeding program.

Come to Missouri. The Ozarks aren’t as pointy as the Tetons. But the Libs still get shouted down, prices are good, and we can carry concealed or open without permit. I live in suburban St. Louis and have property two hours south so remote I’d have to guide you in to find me.

When was the last time ya went to lander!!!! It’s very close to being a mini Jackson. The billionaires pushed out the millionaires from Jackson and they are well on the way to making it a shithole.

Salt Lake City has a nice VA hospital good fishing and hunting there. If you move there i could give awesome ride ideas for the fall colors.

My son is at the university in Laramie. The cold isn’t so bad. But the wind is BrUTAL. We went to climb medicine bow peak after dropping him off and the wind was miserable. When we were out of the wind it was gorgeous but it was just unrelenting.

I’ve lived in harsh places (Fairbanks). But that non stop wind. Man oh man

It's funny how people are different. I spent 4 1/2 years in Lander. I was disappointed. Now I am in Alaska and it is everything I was looking for.

If you want to get away, there is nothing else like this place.

You just had to bring up ND didn't you plow...lol

Though the eastern side of the state is starting to suck. To much private land, and to many douche bags ruining shooting and hunting for the rest of us. Though when getting to the middle and western part of the state things get better, but not much. The people influx with the oil fields the crime has gone up as the scum comes with the money. But the land is gorgeous and hunting can be great.

My home is always open Jerry, I’m a PM away and will show you around NE Wyoming anytime I’m not away to work. Coal, oil and cattle is king. Good VA in Hot Springs and the rest is explained by “Black Hills”. Town’s gun club has an indoor range along with trap range and steel to 300 for $35/yr membership. We don’t butch about the wind because we don’t have the nasty shit like other parts of the state.
