X - Vectronix Shooting Solutions

No issues with the 12x42 DMR that I just received.

For me, it took a little while to adjust them for the distance between my eyes and to adjust the eyecups. I found that the second eyecup notch worked best for me, when not wearing glasses.

I also found that since the reticle is in the right eyepiece, looking thru the binoculars is akin to shooting iron sights with both eyes open. It took a little while for my eyes to adjust so that I could see the reticle and see without any shadowing.

I feel like I’m going to get a headache after just 1 minute of trying to look through these. I much much prefer my Fury’s over these. Not sure if maybe I have a defective unit or something, but this definitely won’t work for glassing for game or shooting a match, that’s for sure
There must be something wrong. Or maybe you're just different, kind of doubt that though. These are just as easy to get behind as the fury's, but so much better. I do however find them easier to get behind than swaros for some reason, i can never get the eye cups just right on those.

The RRS mount was a design for a problem that barely exists. They made them for non-leveling fluid heads. Well there are several leveling fluid heads on the market, and are super cheap as you only need to hold up a light pair of binos. If you're using a ball head, their absolutely unnecessary.

Can anyone speak to the difference using the Kestrel 5700 vs 5700 Elite when used in conjunction with the Vector X? Given the binoculars come with AB Elite licensing, is there any loss in functionality?
I have not been able to get my 5700 Ballistics to work with the Vector X. It will connect via bluetooth, but when ranging "Unusable Target Data Received" is displayed on the Kestrel.

A friend has the 5700 Elite and it works as expected with Vector X. The range is sent to Kestrel and the Kestrel displays a solution. The solution is also displayed in the Vector X HUD.

I will say that a Swaro with the forehead rest is great to use. Head rest makes for a quick index for the eyes to get the eyes settled in correctly in the barrels immediately.
