XBR 8208 in .308 load info anyone? (also 223)

Anyone have some good load info/data for this powder? looking to use 168 and 175 gr SMK's. Hodgdon's site seems to have good info, but my 2 other reloading books show min's/max WAY off of Hodgdons site.

Also in .223, and the same powder, anyone have good info for it with 55gr v-max? for some reason, i cant find ANY good data for the a-max/v-max/z-max bullets. Ive worked up some SP stuff, (24.9gr), but wondering if anyone else had some info.

My AAC-SD liked 42.9g with a 168 amax in Bha brass and WLR prime
r. It also likes 44.4g varget all else the same. 2.81" col.

I am shooting a Rem 700 5R Mil Spec: 175 SMK's, 42.3gr 8208, 2.84 COAL right at about 2700fps.

I have not done enough development with my .223 to give you what works for my rifle. I will update when I get this info gathered.

Same load I ran with a 700 SPS Varmint before I went to 6.5x47L.

Haven't shot any 55 gr. with the 223 but with 75 gr. Hornady BTHP and Sierra 77 gr. SMKs I'm at 23.1 grs. Getting 2700 fps out of an 18" barrel.

46.0 got me approximately 2890 out of a 20" 308 with sierra 2156 smk's. 8208 is an excellent powder, and I'll be working up a 223ai load with 80gr bullets.

I have some 175 SMKs loaded in Win brass with BR2 primers that I hope to shoot and chrono this weekend out of my AAC-SD. I loaded 39.0 to 42.9 in .3 increments, and I will try to remember to post my findings.

ill try to remember when i get home to post my load data that i used before i switched to 6.5cm, i will admit i was not overly impressed with the powder. it might have been me though, as i was getting ready to rebarrel and wasnt taking my reloading as seriously as i could have been.

44.6 and 44.9 works really well with 155 Sceners. With 168 and 175 I was able to get better velocity and accuracy with Varget.

right on. thanks for some of the load data guys. Ill make some up in my .223 this weekend and try to get out and test them. as much as working up a load is "fun" ... id rather get in the right area and work from there.

I load 24.5 XBR and 55gr pills COAL 2.260 (mag max).

When there was a shortage of Varget in my area I almost went with this powder but ended up using rl-15 instead . I would like to know what you come up with using 168's .....
