I've handled an element and liked it, but haven't seen a G10 up close. I'm mainly wondering about the grip angle on the G10 vs. the element. It appears to me (judging by pictures) that the g10's grip is slightly more swept back. I would favor the more vertical of the two if there's a difference.

Also is the cheek piece on the g10 as comfortable as the on the Element Tac lite buttstock?

Thanks for any info provided..

The G10 comes with something like an Ergo Grip but can be swapped out with any AR grip. I have not shot a McRee bare, only with a rear stock pack and it is comfortable.

If you prefer a vertical grip I would suggest the MPA BA Competition Chassis since it has cutouts for your thumb to rest vertically. If you are not interested in the entire chassis you can purchase the Enhanced Vertical Grip itself and put it on the G10 or Element

Yes, the grip angle is under your control. If you want it different, then choose a different AR style grip.

I have a new G10 on my very new Tikka TSR-1. I like the fact that the forend has M-Tac slots on the bottom and sides. It allows for quite a few options regarding rails, stops and other hardware sometimes used by competitors.. With the ever-increasing accessory offerings for M-Tac slots, it opens some options. In all, I like the feel and ergonomics of the design. It's well balanced.

The G10's adjustable stock could be easier to adjust in my opinion, for those match situations where it helps to have quick adjustments. The G10 adjustment requires that multiple machine screws be loosened and then tightened up again without any way to keep original settings to return to.

Having said that, I've not used an XLR Elemnt more than to fire a few rounds from someone else's rifle using an element chassis. So I really cannot contrast and compare them for you.

I have both. Fired a lot of rounds through both of them. I give the XLR Element a slight...very slight edge in cheek comfort. I have the ergo deluxe on both and they feel extremely similar.

Accuracy wise, they isn't much difference.

I definitely thought the XLR cheek piece is comfortable.

Sounds like I can get a grip I'll like on either chassis.

This would be for my Tikka CTR. So I can go with the XLR and use Accurate mags or go with the Mcree and use my CTR mags, I already have 2 of those. Cost wise it's close, the XLR is slightly cheaper but I'll need to buy a couple mags so it's about a wash.

Thanks for the replies
