We announced a hunting rifle yesterday to compete in the Fierce/Christensen/Proof market around 3k. Performance with factory ammo was a major consideration and I would say we nailed it. It is called "The MODUS"
This report came from Fritz Precision Shooting, a LR school in Idaho:
"Cold bore, dead center impact 1,072 yards. I spent some time behind it today and it's a shooter. 156 Bergers at 2810fps are 'fricken laser beams'. It's actually pretty impressive. The recoil is very linear and easy to manage for a light system. Having a solid shelf to place your thumb takes the vertical dispersion that traditional stocks tend to induce. I've spent A LOT of time behind countless rifle systems and this is truly a balanced hybrid between precision shooting and hunting. I really can't say enough about it. You can quote me on that. No joke. This is truly something else."
Don Fritz
The base model is just shy of 8lb and with certain upgrades will get as light at 6.5 (sub 8 with a scope is possible) which leaves a lot of weight budget for a bipod and scope/rings to use in NRL hunter matches or make weight for restrictions in some states.
We also have 450 Bushmaster as a caliber option that shoots sub MOA easily for those of us in straight wall regions. I sent a barrel to @flounderv2 several years ago when I started making the bushmaster conversions for bolt guns and he was thrilled with it.
We are delivering on a 4 week schedule right now.
