Compared to Zeiss tactical scopes, conquest series look so much a better deal for someone like me who uses the rifle exclusively to punch paper (targets). Are there real differences in the optics versus the more versatile control mechanisms with the tactical series? One can get two conquest scopes with tactical knobs for the price of one tactical scope

If I missed something else please enlighten me. I am just getting into this

Re: Zeiss conquest comment

The Zeiss Conquest series is made in the USA with Zeiss parts at the Meopta factory. The glass and parts are shipped in and the finished product is made in USA saving the end user tariff and international taxes. I own 7 Conquest scopes and have never had a failure. IMHO the best dollar value in optics available to the public. Schott glass not optical and precission calibration make this a winner.

Re: Zeiss conquest comment

Zeiss Conquest scopes use Japanese glass and some poly parts such as turrets. The Hensoldt line uses German glass from Schott Glasswerks and is THE BEST in clarity, not to mention solid built parts and indestructability. The Henny also retains it's retail value longer than a conquest

Re: Zeiss conquest comment

The 6.5-20 Conquest I owned was close to, if not the clearest scope I've owned (Leupold, S&B, Meopta, NF....).

Clicks were very positive.

I agree with ddb-

Re: Zeiss conquest comment

i use a conquest for hunting, and everyone i have let look through my scope has been extremely impressed. For the price i think its the best you can get by far.
