What did Zelensky say that set everything off? What I heard was essentially:
Trump said he aligns with the US and that means the world is better off.
JD said we tried talking a stern talk but now we need diplomacy and actions that mean something.
Zelensky says they tried diplomacy (had an agreement) and the agreement was broken by Putin when he invaded in 2014. He asks what JD means by diplomacy.
JD fires off and says he's ungrateful and Trump backs him up beautifully.
I don't disagree that Zelensky is ungrateful but that specific interaction didn't seem like it warranted that backlash.
In my opinion, Zelensky saying that the US can't talk to Russia without him is a way bigger deal. And the gloves really should have come off when he said the US will soon feel pressure even though we have oceans. All of that seems way more offensive than what he asked about diplomacy (unless I missed something)

I think it’s what’s not being said is the problem.
The US right now is acting as mediator between Ukraine and Russia.
Russia isn’t going to accept giving back territory and not getting anything. Ukraine isn’t going to except letting Russian have their country.
Ukraine won’t survive without tax payer money.
Russian expansion isn’t great for the US influence in Europe.
What’s going on is they are forcing Zelenskyy into an off ramp. Eventually he will have to go back to his people and say he did the best he could, and take a deal.
My opinion on this matter is short and sweet (like me). Trump and Vance said out loud what we've all been thinking since this Russia-Ukraine bullshit started.
