Covid and Misinformation

I see some of the most ridiculous post regarding Covid and misinformation is never a good thing, especially when it comes to health. I am Pro Choice as it should be up to you as to whether you get the shot or not as you will be the bearer of the circumstances of the decision whether good or bad. Fact is, Covid will be around for quite some times with plenty different mutations.

Honest question. Why would one NOT want to take the vaccine?

Am I Full length sizing correctly?

Hello,

I’m full length sizing some of my 6.5 creedmoor brass for my hunting rifle that has been once fired(was factory Hornady 143 Eldx).
I measured 5 random cases from the lot with my Hornady head spacing gauge for the caliper(used the proper attachment c375). They measured anywhere from 1.557 1/2 to 1.559. I measured the same 5 cases after full length resizing and they came out at 1.562. I think stuck them in a Lyman ammo/headspace tool and the head of the case sticks out just over the maximum.
I noticed after running them through the die that I was getting a ring on the bottom of the case, close to the head. I’ve attached a picture below.
I also noticed when running the case up into the die all the way up, that the shell holder wasn’t touching the die.
Am I don’t all of this correctly? I feel as I’m not although I followed the directions when setting up the die. Dies are Hornady Customs if that helps at all

Something better for this heavy day

Wow!

"After being canceled for the NFL to perform the Anthem at the season opening game because of my vaccination status, I decided to sing anyways. Except this time not for the theatrics of a football game.. this time I sang for America. To remind her who she is… the land of the free and the home of the brave. This is dedicated to anyone that has taken a stand for freedom. I stand with you. ❤️🙏🏾🇺🇸"

my body

I can't help but to think these latest vaxx mandates by joe's handlers are a setup to fight the abortion laws that are popping up in red states.

"My body my choice" and the freedom to make choices regarding your own health.

IMO, there is nothing the left covets more than abortion.

It is a cornerstone to their ideology and a huge money laundering program for the dems.

So while it doesnt really matter what my specific stance is regarding abortion...

do they have a point?

Remembering 9/11: the long list of those murdered 20 years ago. What a difference a day makes.

My mother is retiring from being an American Airlines flight attendant at the end of this month. 20 years and 1 day ago (09/10/01), she was working on American Airlines flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles. 24 hours later that same AA Flight 11 would be hijacked and used as a weapon against the WTC North Tower.

What a difference one day can make. I'm blessed to still have my mother in my life after this series of events as well as her surviving breast cancer a few years back.

There are thousands upon thousands of people who weren't so lucky.

Vax

So I just wanted to share this with everyone, because I know so many have medical conditions and are worried about the vaccine. I came across a Dr.Bradley Campbell on Instagram. He often does live feeds. Last night he was giving out doctors names that will write medical exemptions for vaccines which is highly unusual to say the least. I would highly suggest you go follow him. I'm in NY. where I am, they have taken away your RIGHT to use a religious exemption if you work in any type of medical field. It's incredibly unconstitutional. I know people are willing to get fired over this and so am I...but there are options out there. You just have to do some research.

Had a great day!

I had the day off.....and went to a small gun show. Got there early about 20 minutes before it "opened".

Long story short....kinda jogged through the booths and saw a vendor with small rifle primers (205M, CCI) and asked him how much.....he said:

#100.00 per 1,000...So I think not too bad...kinda pricy but I am getting pretty F#cking low (about 2,200 left).....

So I ask how may do you have....he said 6,000....i think "really" and ask "you have any large rifle primers."..he says "yup, got some 210M".....

So, I asked how many,,,,,He said 3,000........

Well I offered him $90.00 per 1,000 for all of them.....$900.00 and he said OK...Well I gotta run to the bank to get the cash,,,,I had no idea that I would have this opportunity......

Then he says I have 15,000 small pistol primers .....Or really? What type?........"100M" he replys..........

So I am into this right for $100.00 per 1,000 or $900.00 and you have another 15,000 for sale....really....

He shows me the stock.....and I am not a pistol guy but my fiends are...So WTF....I offered him $80.00 per 1.000for all of it.....or $1,980 all in...

He says..."OK" I hand him the $300.00 I had on hand and head to the Bank.....

Long story short...I have paid less than this for a car (I am 66 years old)....and actually feed pretty good about this....I am set up for most of next year and my pistol friends will pay me back.

My wife is gonna have kittens when get the bank statement...I took it out of her "emergency" account.....but, if this was not an emergency what is.

One rifle: how to manage with an M24?

After experiencing mag issues in PRS, I've been rethinking the rifle I would take to a "one rifle" class. I've always wanted to attend a class like the one thunder ranch did a few years ago, challenging people to bring only one rifle for shots ranging from 25 to 600 yards. Living in a ban state the universal AR is out for me, and I've always been a bolt guy anyways.

This got me thinking about ammo management if I were to run an internal mag, such as an M24.

For prs, that has been simple for me. Just adding a stock pack with ammo loops.

Going back to the class, AR guys may have a battle belt or chest rig with spare mags. But how would the bolt gun guy do it? Old school ammo loops on the belt like the old west? Dump pouches like the revolver era police?

I know it may sound stupid to limit one's self in such a way, this is kind of a slow shift, being bored all night thought experiment. But after having mags go tits up it really did make me think... What if I really was limited to one rifle with an internal mag, how would I get it done?

Seeds... A word to the Young Survivalist

This is the time of year when garden's wind down. Take time to go see your Grandpa, Dad, Cousins and all the women you know that raised a garden this year. Ask them if you can "glean" through their garden and gather any plants that may still have a few seed pods still attached to them. Gather anything with a seed that grew within your environmental area. Do this even if you live in an apartment and are not currently raising a garden. Bring the seeds home and allow them to dry naturally.

Why?

1) Because next spring you may not be able to buy seeds... Big seed suppliers will sell to the commercial growers first. Home gardeners get the 'left overs".
2) Any seed you can gather locally has been acclimated to your local gardening zone, climate, moisture, sunlight, fertilizers, etc. When you buy seeds off the Internet or at a farm store, Walmart, etc.... They originate in a different environment. Many seeds come from Mexico, Vietnam, China or other regions of the world. They may germinate in your garden, grow a few inches and then mysteriously die.
3) If you have no access to a relatives garden then go to the local Farmers Market, buy a small amount of produce, bring it home and dry it. As you talk to the vendors, ask if their seeds are "Heirloom" or "Hybrid"... Many of the hybrid seeds will not germinate or you will not be sure of what they will produce. Heirloom will give you a produce that has not changed for many years...
4) Knowledge - If you can spend a few hours with Grandpa / Grandma they can give you a lifetime of info from your area. Some of the most misleading info is located on the Internet...
5) If you are able to "save seeds" be prepared to invest 2 - 4 years (seasons) in your own garden before you start to see positive results.

Now is the time to get started.

Best of luck.
