I plan to make a video series on my journey with this press exploring some of the different methods people have been using to get single stage accuracy out of their progressive presses.

So out of curiosity, those of you who have been down this road before... what have you found to give the greatest improvement in accuracy (at the bench and on paper) over the stock press. If you could attempt to give it a % value based on increased accuracy or decreased group size. What would it be?

I plan on testing as many methods and modifications as I can and ranking them based on my results but I'd like to see what the opinion of the hide was before I started.

This is an excellent shooting BA chambered in .308 Winchester. The action is a G Prefix. Less than 500 rounds. Got this from a good friend of mine. Rifle came out of Florida when purchased. As to who built it, I do not have that information. I contacted the place of business he purchased it from, which was a Gun Broker seller and honestly, the guy was a total Dick and wouldn’t give me any information.
However, what I do know is this thing hammers. I’ve shot it out to 1000 yards with excellent results.
I cannot confirm any action work has been done. The barrel is a fluted 24” 1.250” straight taper with a blended muzzle brake that is so smooth, if the color variations wasn’t present on the brake and barrel, you couldn’t tell the brake came off. The board I made. It was fun, and time consuming. Aggravating at times, but I wanted it to turn out nice. Table saw, jointer, biscuit cutter, clamps, planer, sander...and a lot of "elbow grease".

Managed to run 500 9mm through the Dillon 650 with a MrBulletFeeder and auto case feeder without a single snag, hiccup, part flying off, upside down fucking something, stuck fucking primer in some space that it is impossible for a primer to even get into, or any other event that made me stop and have to literally tear half the machine apart and/or re-calibrate its angle with the axis of the earth while Jupiter is in phase.

I'm sure theres some of you that have managed this feat 10000 times. You also all probably have high blood pressure and have had to buy things like replacement reloading stools and have learned to patch holes in drywall.

I'm actually horrified to go and check if all of the dies are still fully screwed into the toolhead.

I finally became that knowitall smug looking motherfucker in the Dillon videos. I can check this off the list now.

I'm wondering just what this is all about. A friend who lives about 3 miles east of me in Reno, Nevada sent this picture that he took from his living room window the other day. On the left is a police officer pointing an AR-15 type rifle at the apartment building balcony. Behind him is another police officer holding a radio. Behind him is a local guy looking on. To the right we see 3 police officers looking around the corner in to the parking area, but at what exactly they are looking at I don't know. To their right are two female police officers who look like they have their guns drawn but with their arms hanging down. On the balcony we see a woman talking with a man who is holding a small black dog. My friend says that he thinks he saw the police take two rifles away from someone but he didn't see anyone get arrested. He said that in all he saw 11 police officers. I was wondering if the woman is one of those social workers that the police defunders want to send around. But why the need for so much back up? And how exactly are they providing backup standing around like they are? And who had the guns, the guy with the dog? Any thoughts?

The commercial factory ammunition in 6.5 Creedmoor tends to max out at about 147 grains, and many of the commercial offerings are far lighter than that.

Whereas the classical NATO battle rifles [7.62/308] offered payloads out to 175 and even 185 grains.

When reading about the 6.5 Creedmoor, I keep stumbling upon comments like the following [concerning a 143 grain round]:

When I skinned her out I found that the bullet never entered the chest cavity. It hit the front shoulder and and there it stayed..."

So is the 6.5 Creedmoor too "perfect" of a round for a Battle Rifle?

Is it too fast, too aerodynamic, too clean, too surgical?

Conversely, is there anything to be gained from using a bigger slower sloppier round in a Battle Rifle?

I’ve been playing around with torque settings on my action screws. I shot close to 30 ten shot groups, and all I did was try different action screw torque settings. It was incredible how much just a few inch pounds would make to a group!!! All of my groups were shot prone, and at 80 yards. I wanted to do 100, but the wind was not cooperating. So I shot 80, because I could use a metal building and hay bails as a wind break. I found that 18-20 inch pounds pretty much got rid of all my flyers!! So I put a tiny bit of blue loctite on my action screws, set them to 20 inch pounds, and let it cure over night. This morning I shot it again, and walla, no flyers! Here’s my 5 groups this morning. I shot the top left first. Although the wind was blocked, still needed a little bit of right adjustment. My first group (top left) shows that. I shot the second group (top right) with .1 added for the wind. I shot the 3rd group (bottom left), and added .1 more for wind. Then I shot the bottom right target 4th. The 5th group was my best. I placed a small stick in the target and aimed for it. I shot it out! Just as I was about to call it quits, a big horse fly landed on the box. I smoked him!

Could have been so simple and straightforward.

- Identify the transpo logistics of what it would take to get everyone in each base out. Set a timetable and constantly check it. Meeting/not meeting timed goals would/would not have you initiate the next level of draw down.

- Initiate a structured draw down to close FOBS/COPS/FBs, etc out in the middle of nowhere and have the units and equipment recycle back to whatever main installation they are 'attached to.

- Only initiate operations that will keep/push any enemy activity away from those installations as well as task them to cover the draw downs at outside FOBS.

- Issue a 'Kessel Order' for all of the large logistical installations. Adjust ROE to basically 'no one comes close to here or we blow you up'.

- Systematic logistical airlift evacuations at the larger installations to constantly have personnel not 'guarding the castle' or performing rear guard draw down operations out. Keep these running in line with the time table to initiate the next phase(s) of draw downs.

- Begin demo of any assets/equipment deemed to be left behind as they come in

- Once the only people left were the guys holding down the fort and everyone/everything else was accounted for, initiate destruction/disabling the installations (i.e. destroy runways, buildings, etc)


You would have known, if I were the base commander, that we had left Bagram because you would have been able to see the fire from 10 miles away.

Instead, we're negotiating with the fucking taliban of who is going to 'protect' what while we're there. The worst part is, we totally did this to ourselves; there was ZERO reason we needed to GTFO like a meth junkie who was just told the cops were coming.

I’ve got a GE French door deal with freezer on bottom, less than 4 years old and for whatever reason, the bottom part of the refrigerator is freezing crap and the top part is like 60 degrees and keeps ruining my meat. Any ideas? Freezer part is fine.
