Does anybody have any idea on what Steiner plans on releasing tomorrow? Apparently they have 6 new optics.

The second picture looks like it has adjustable parallax and an illuminated reticle along with the capped turrets.

I am ready to upgrade my scope.
I have run some Vortex and Athlon mid range glass in the past. I upgraded one of my rifles to a razor, havent been a fan. Currently also have an NF ATCAR 7-35 that I find it very dark.

My eyesight has been declining of late and I want something brighter. I have a budget of $2.5 K. Looking for Mil, not too picky on reticle, I do like good solid turrets with smooth and audible clicks. This will be for long range in daylight at 800 + yards with 6.5 PRC and 300 PRC caliber ammo.

Suggestions appreciated. Will likely try to purchase used in PX

I’m looking for suggestions on an optic for my newly acquired AR10 16” .308. I live in southern Michigan so it won’t get much long range action, one range a few hours away I can get up to 600 yards but that won’t be very frequent. Most of my usage will be on the range punching holes in paper from 0-200 and hunting 0-250ish. I would like to keep the price under $2000 but will go higher for the perfect scope.

red dots vs. LPVOs.

Fighting distance to "down a couple city blocks" distance.

I used an SWFA 1-6 HD at Thunder Ranch of the Precision Urban Rifle course and did OK. It was heavy, though it performed well.

Mrs. Walter used an aimpoint red dot and did ok.

Most shots from 50-100 years, some to 200 or 300.

Thoughts on a general purpose optic for a 5.56 rifle? From clearing houses to urban rifle?

I really really hate to sell this, but something else has tickled my fancy. Other than proof firing, it is an unfired rifle built to the original specs that IBA did for DARPA. While it's an unfired rifle, it does have a little bit of safe rash on the action and bolt knob that doesn't effect function. The rifle was built up by a USMC PWS 2112 to the original specs.

The specs are as follows:

- Remington 700 Short Action, clip slotted for scope base
- 18.5" Hart Barrel, Stainless - 1:10 twist and of the correct profle
- Correct bolt handle
- Correct Titanium Recoil Lug
- Correct Titanium, 20moa scope base
- Colorado Micro-Precision front rail (NOT IBA marked/engraved)
- Correct Surefire 762SS Suppressor mount (was used, I've got a new 762SS muzzle brake/mount I'll include if I can find it)
- OD McMillan A1-3 stock, Wichita rear swivel, 2 studs up front.
- tuned Rem 700 trigger
- Badger bottom metal
- finished in black reduced IR signature cerakote, which is similar to the IBA Man O War finish.
- Harris swivel bipod included, longer tan spec but works better for me

I've heard different things from different sources. How can I spot trace trough the riflescope?

What I know so far:

1. Dial Magnification Back to 15-18 power
2. At the moment you break the shot allow your eye to focus on the top half of your optic.

What am I missing?

I catch trace very easily with my spotting scope.

It hurts my soul to sell this, it's a gorgeous scope, but need to fund some other projects. Will very likely buy another one next year.

Hey guys. Just got my PS5, after trying for 10 months, and coming from a old as hell PS3 and not really keeping up with the games that were on PS4, what all is out these days for sniper games? I usually only play driving games but I need something different to nerd out on this winter. Ky weather is unpredictable as can be I want to use this thing since I tried for so long and paid so much for. You know $499 is too much for a video game but $2k for a gun is a great deal. lol. Im also slowly piecing together a budget driving sim for this as well. Also does anyone know if there is any gun controllers for PS platform like nintendo had with Duck Hunt? Yep i just showed my age there. LOL.

move tried strap wrench, on blaster, etc. any other suggestions? It looks like it’s almost free. Maybe soak in CLR to see if it’s carbon gumming it up?

I can’t move the locking collar either way. When I first got it, no threads on the adapter were showing, so I’ve moved it some. Threads don’t appear to be galled/crossthreaded
