What type of malfunction is this - when bullet doesnt eject

Hoping someone here can identify and educate me on a recent issue I've had with my handloading and, in doing so, prove to myself and my range buddies that I'm not crazy.

What's happened?
I load a cartridge into the chamber, bolt locks closed, everything feeds as normal.
Then...
Press the trigger, hammer strikes primer, I hear the click, but round does not fire.
So...I eject the round

Possible explanation the first time?

The first time this happened one of my more-experienced buddies thought it could be a bad primer. But these were "newish CCI 200" from last year and stored adequately

Another buddy thought maybe that the hammer didn't strike the primer hard enough or was seated improperly in the pocket

The last guy thought I just forgot to load powder in the brass because he looked at my primers and all seemed good. I didnt want to believe that I would forget powder. Im positive I reloaded each round correctly.

The second time...
Fast forward to this afternoon and this happens again. Press the trigger I hear a click but bullet doesn't fire. This time I was smart enough to take the cartridges home with me and try to pull the bullet with the bullet-puller hammer.

**Pictures of bullets and primers below**

I was very nervous that maybe my friend was right and I did forget to put powder in it. And, by the coloring of the bullets I pulled it looks like there was "something" in the cartridge to discolor the bullets as they were seated. Is that primer dust or powder dust...

My questions
1) Any guesses why this could be happening?
either the explanations above or others? How you I go about troubleshooting?

2) Can the primer ignite the powder but the bullet fails to fire? If in some crazy world that is possible what happens to the powder it as it is burned off....and....how is that at all possible?

I've done as much internet searching as I can but I don't know what this type of malfunction would be called. I've seen some mention of a "squib", but my bullets fail to even eject.

Maybe I just have improper reloading management and I am forgetting to put powder in my brass...but I just struggle to believe I could be so careless. If you knew me...and my OCD...you'd understand why.

Thanks in advance for any education you can lay on me!

Tikka T3X TAC A1 suddenly shooting 6 mils low?

Who here has experience with the Tikka T3X TAC A1?

Strange issue:

When to Frank's and Mark's PRS course in PA early in the week. (It was great and you should sign up it if you haven't taken it.)

On the second day we shot 600-1000 yards, and my 6.5CM T3X TAC shots great. No shit, it was awesome.

In the afternoon we were to shoot for correction data for our dope cards. However, I kept shooting the berm between the various 100 yard increments. (WTF?)

I can not, for the life of me, figure out what the hell is going on!

I did resight the rifle today, and found out that it is 6 mils low. ...but there is NOTHING obviously wrong with it.

Rifle configuration:

- Tikka T3X TAC A1 in 6.5CM (gotta love the man bun)
- S&B 5-25x566 PM II (backup 4-16x56 PM II UltraClear)
- EGW 20 MOA rail
- Proof CF drop in TAC A1 barrel (~220 rounds)
- Elite Iron (pic rail)
-YHM 30 cal phantom

Testing performed:

- Put on the backup scope and checked the zero. Shoots exactly like the primary - 6 mils low
- Swapped out the suppressor with it's backup, shoots in exactly the same spot
- Cleaned the carbon out of the barrel, and borescoped it - No signs of copper buildup
- Windage had not really moved
- Nothing on the rifle is obviously loose or moved

Help!

SOLD Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR3 F/S

I got this a few weeks back and have been running it on my .22. Works great, glass is considerably better than my old XRS2 but I prefer a bit more magnification when I shoot .22 so this has gotta go.
Asking $1150 shipped, I have some vortex precision matched rings I can include for another $100.

So you're worried about being scammed? Stop on in.

I've bought a ton of things off of the EE here and other well establish places over the years. It was usually a bit harder for scammers as we didn't always have shit like Zelle or Venmo (by the way, never never never buy anything from anyone who ONLY takes zelle, cashapp or venmo as that is a 99.757% sign of you getting fucked) that doesn't have any form of protection on them, and generally it was something like paypal or a check or whatever.

Since then other places have popped up online that are used often, but also have their share of scammers, just like SH has.

So what do you do?

Other than the usual things like, buy from people who have been on the site a good amount of time and have feedback, you also reverse search the images they use and if anything ever seems off or too good to be true, it is.

I have now reached a new level in this game. You want to sell me something and I don't know you? Ok...send me a picture of the item, with a note with your screen name on it as well as a tube of toothpaste and a can of soup in the same picture. Don't have soup? Take your shoe off and put it in the picture.

Ever since doing this, I've had people make all sorts of excuses as to how 'their friend isnt sure he wants to sell this anymore' or whatever bullshit.

I think we need to start a picture thread of the shit you managed to get as a verification picture.

My most recent example off of TacSwap. Guy was selling an item he said he had 3 of. Had a picture of 2 of them in the ad. I respond and say I want 1. No problem. We talk about payment. Here's how that went:

Me: Ill take the 1 then. whats your paypal? and could you please send me a picture of one of the units with its box and include your screen name on the note as well as put a coffee mug and a dish sponge in the pic? Thanks

Him: My friends being kinda lame. Says he only wants to sell if it’s all 3

Wait...so all of a sudden its your friend who is selling this, and now I cant buy just the 1 we already agreed to? Yeah..I don't believe you.

Screw snapped on nightforce atacr 1-8 - big deal ???

I have ATACR 1-8 , there is a screw on the magnification ring , i just checked to make it sure it was tight but it snapped ! The tread is tightened down and nothing is loose . Is this anything to worry about or should i return it ?

bare in mind that I live in the UK so If I send it back, I will probably be waiting for months for a replacement from nightforce so if it’s not going to effect anything I would rather just leave it

Rem 700 firing pin falling on bolt close

So I noticed something this evening while I was replacing my factory rem 700 trigger with a TT primary.

First off I have 3 rem 700's that all wear different triggers (factory, timney, TT)

Today while replacing the factory trigger with the TT primary, I was dry firing and adjusting. I noticed when I opened the bolt, but DID NOT slide it back, the firing pin would cock but would fall if I closed the bolt. If I opened the bolt and slid it back maybe 1/16 " or so I heard a slight "click" and then closed the bolt, the firing pin would stay cocked.

So I tried my other 700's. Both of my other 2, the firing pin would stay cocked if I lifted the bolt and closed it without sliding the bolt back. Very odd. Not sure if it's a problem but I do want to hear if this is normal? I never noticed before but I'm awfully curious now.

.308/6.5 Creedmoor suggestions

I am looking for recommendations/confirmation on a purchase of a .308/6.5 Creedmoor that I can easily change out the barrel. Prioritizing an excellent .308 battle rifle that will hold up after 1000s of rounds. Also, excellent precision when is switch to 6.5 Creedmoor. Besides the rifle, also looking for recommendations on a scope? Thanks for the help.

Physical Fitness Accident forces switch from right to left.

I had a pretty bad crash last weekend and shattered my collar bone, broke a few ribs, bruised my lungs and had a concussion that knocked me out for 25 minutes. I want to get ready for deer hunting but cant shoot or practice my normal right handed way. Should I try to work on left handed shooting or wait and see if I get healed enough by November. I can't see a downside to practicing lefty, but I am low on ammo and don't know if I will be able to resupply. The way I see it, I am limited to left handed dry firing. Can't do much positional stuff either. Anyone had a similar situation have some advice? Any advice for healing quicker for the collar bone? Exercises or stretching that will help speed up recovery? I have very little experience shooting lefty other than a few match stages... didn't do well.... Doc took me out of work for 5 weeks, so I have time on my hands.

Carbon six barrel review and issues.

Got a new barrel. Shot fine, until I tried to extract an unfired round. It was jammed! It took me a bit to figure it out. But the bullet is getting jammed and sticking the round.
20210930_154607.jpg

As you can see the round is rubbing pretty bad. These are factory rounds in a barrel with 2 trips to the range to break it in. I have emailed the barrel manufacture and am waiting for a reply. I'll see if they remedy the situation before I flame them but I will say I don't have faith that they even know what they are doing at this point based on past interactions.
