Thinking about rebarreling my 26” 300 Norma with a 30-32” 338 barrel since I have another 300 Norma with an 18” barrel. This 26” shoots awesome just looking for a little more oomph out far. Currently shoots a 1/2” moa group with Retumbo and 199 hammer hunters at 3220fps.

Ok so there are all these cool tools and gadgets to make the retile level when mounting a scope and several ways people torque and so an and so forth. So lets say you reticle is canted and you zero the rifle with the scope level and continue to shoot with the scope level. In other words, your rifle then becomes canted during this process. Before I continue I understand shooting with a canted scope will cause some undesired hit especially at distance. I understand if you canted to the left, retile wise, that while diling for distance you can hit left of target becuse of scope travel and such. But if you just suck at mounting scopes and you do have a little cant but you are zeroing the rifle with the reticle level and shooting with the rifle level my thought are it should not matter. Are my thoughts on this correct?

I received a S&B PM2 5x25 with a very simple dot mil reticle and the turrets are clockwise. I spoke to customer service and they say that they can change out the turrets to ccw but they also said that they can change the reticle as well. Has anyone done this and were you satisfied with the work?

I recently purchased a Savage 110 Elite Precision, and when I unboxed it I noticed the muzzle brake was not horizontal. I thought that perhaps it was simply loose and I would be snugging it down, in its proper horizontal (ports wise) position. Turns out that it was hand tight already. The ports are situated between 1 and 2 o’clock with the opposing side, therefore, between 7 and 8 o’clock. Clearly this isn’t correct. I’ve written Savage and haven’t heard back. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this? Is this a usual issue requiring a spacer or specialized washer or something like that? I’m knew to precision rifle and would appreciate thoughts and recommendations.

Long story short a bought a Ares btr 10×40×56 for a light caliber benchrest scope on a budget. When I receive it from Midway it was almost solid black looking down the tube. Nothing would fix the problem. Call Athlon today after hearing good things about them. Well all I got was the scope is fine you just don't know how to set a scope up...... rings are too tight ect. The scope was mounted to their specs. So I guess I got a new paper weight.

Getting rid of my Area 419 branded Defiance Deviant action due to medical issues. It’s a .308 bolt face, nitrided, action has been cerakoted, 20 MOA rail, swept bolt handle, cut for AW mags, Area 419 bolt knob. This is interesting. Too many peculiarities. Uvalde Police Dept. is no longer cooperating with a DPS investigation on the school massacre. They not only refused to try and save those kids, they kept others from going in and attempted to hinder a BORTAC team from going in. Now they're hindering an investigation. Texas Rangers are supposedly livid about it.

I have my own suspicions that point to more serious charges than just cowardice and incompetence on the part of Uvalde PD.
