Firearms WTS Robert Gradous Surgeon 6.5X47, KMW Sentinel.

Gents,

Second owner of this rifle. I have never fired it. I bought it and it has been in my safe for a year. Here are the specs,

1. Surgeon SA, OK built.
2. KMW Sentinel, with IMB system and DBM.
3. Huber 2 Stage at 2#'s
4. 20" Bartlein or Kreiger, I cannot remember the maker of the barrel. 8 twist, contoured for the AEM-5 suppressor with AEM MB in 6.5. The barrel was profiled for me by Steve at ADCO firearms. I was told its a Heavy Palma, but I cannot confirm that as I didn't spec the build.
5. SAP spare round holder.
6. Optional USO 3.2-17x44 TPAL. H59, red illumination, internal bubble level. Seekins rings and AAD lens caps. Box included.
7. KMW Multicam Check pad.

Round count is at 707 per previous owner. Rifling looks like it was just cut at the manufacturer. A shit ton of life left in this barrel. Bi-pod is not available. Scope was mounted into the Seekins rings using the Badger Ordnance scope level. Its dead nuts. Yours for $2350 for the rifle sans anything to do with optics. $2950.00 for everything in the pics except the bipod. I'll cover 50% of the shipping. Shipped in a plastic rifle case and a cardboard box. Payment via Venmo, ApplePay, or possibly PayPal. Personal check or Certified Check acceptable too, but Nothing will ship for Ten (10) business days to allow for the later two forms of payment to clear the bank. I have 100 rounds of Factory Lapua 139's, dies, and 500 Berger 140's available to the buyer if they like, (extra). I can deal on those for the buyer.
Please PM your questions. To keep it simple, the first to post that they are taking it, gets it.
Thanks for looking.

Maggie’s Bad financial and life advice

So I gave my oldest children a speech one night about “ how life is short, do what makes you happy for a career, skill trades are an honest career.......
My oldest son wrote a speech about my advice, won some contests and just before he was to have state essay “contest” the whole Covid shit shut everything down.
so now 1 year wiser, and seeing hard working people bust their ass to get by and dying suddenly.... I say go buy your rifles, shoot competitions, go have fun and die broke. Let your kids shoot competitions. Live life

First Slam Fire

Went to the range today and had my first slam fire. Round went through the chronograph about six inches from the center of the target, but shook me up nonetheless.

Fed srp 6 creed brass necked up to 6.5
Winchester (white box vintage) srp

Any ideas what the hell happened? Ive always used cci 41s in my gas guns but I'm out. Is this really the issue or can there be something else at play? Not cool.

SOLD 2x MPA chassis

I’ve got 2 MPA chassis up for sale. Both fit right hand Remington 700 short action or clones (I’ve had a rem 700, bergara rim fire, bighorn TL3 and Kelbly’s atlas all mounted without issue). Price is shipped CONUS. Payment via PayPal friends and family. Please leave firearm comments out of the memo.

First up is a BA Comp in sniper green. This is a folder and comes with the butt stock for a non-folding set up as well. Has the bag rider currently and also will ship with the weighted butt stock adapter. Wiebad stock pad, spigot mount, EFR mount and action screws included. Excellent condition with a few marks from normal use on stock and mag well. $975 shipped.

Next, BA light. This is a discontinued model, kind of a cross between the ultralight and hybrid. Has PVA markings on it. Weighs just a hair over 4 pounds on my cheap scale. It’s black in color and has seen more use with more scratches on the stock, the arca rail and mag well. Nothing to affect function, just cosmetic. I would call it good used condition. The foam on the cheek piece is torn, but I will include a wiebad stock pad to cover it. Spigot mount and action screws included. $500 shipped.

PM with questions.

Stupid plastic gas cans

I need good quality gas cans that dont have the stupid anti splash spouts that spalsh everywhere.
I have some plastic of various sizes that I have tossed the "safety" spout on and down graded to the ones that dont have the built in vent.
The plastic only lasts so long and I want some steel ones.
Im thinking like a Jerry can. 5-8 gallons, would consider 10. I can transfer to smaller ones for out in the field.
Who makes quality ones without raping me on price?

Moving to austin tx area

hello,
I am an avid gun lover from Utah, my job got moved to central Austin and i will be needing to move near there.
id prefer not to be in the middle of the city and i am interested in any advice as to where i might find a good environment to move to.
when i first heard I needed to move to Texas i was quite relived but i see that democrats from commiefornia are doing similar things to your great state.

i've seen a lot about the liberal democrat controlled area of austin and would prefer to live outside of austin and commute in.

any advice anyone can give would be most appreciated as I have to be down there by beginning of next month

i would also like to hear about any good ranges out there as ill be needing some good places to go.

appreciate the assistance

SOLD Volquartsen Summit 22lr w/ Bartlein Barrel

Finally got this from the smith after a year wait but have no need to hang on to it.

Volquartsen Summit aluminum receiver
Bartlein SS rimfire barrel, finished @ 20”
Mcree chassis with XLR buttstock
Kidd 2 stage trigger 8oz/8oz
Bushnell Engage 3-12x MOA
Nightforce Rings

The action and first inch of barrel are bedded to the chassis, very snug fit. My smith did drill and tap a hole through the top of the receiver so he could play with clocking the barrel before cutting the extractor grooves.

Ran some Eley ammo (Match, Target, and Tenex), SK ammo (Long Range and Match) through it. I haven’t shot in over 2 years so I don’t think I am doing the rifle justice. It shot everything fairly well, have some targets for you to make up your mind. Tenex was the most consistent of the ammo used as far as grouping.

I have some of the ammo for a price for the buyer if they want it.

$1250 shipped for the rifle and scope from me to your dealer.

Marks on scope tube. Do I need to address?

Hey all,
Just noticed some marks on the outside of my scope tube that are down to bare aluminum. From a cosmetic stand point I could give a rats ass because battle scars for the win! However, should I be concerned about the bare metal from a corrosion stand point, etc? Not trying to over think anything but don't want to ignore a potential problem if I can nip it in the bud. Thanks for the advice.

Double barrel shotgun brands - your recommendations or warnings...

Hey everyone, I have got a hankering for a double barreled shotgun. It would just be used at the range or in the woods. I am looking for any experience (recommendations or warnings) you have. Price would be under $1500ish.

I have tried looking at the cowboy action forum, but it's a jumbled mess.

What I have gleaned is a Stoeger is an ok entry rifle, but those that use it a lot say you tend to have to just throw it away after 4 or 5 years due to various parts breakage.

Cz whitetail is ok, but sometimes Turkish made guns have some issues...

Any experiences you have had would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg
