Suppressors No docusign before Ready to Certify?

Hey all,
Purchased a TacSol TSS a week ago Friday and received my “Ready to Certify” e-mail on Tuesday. Odd part is I never received a Docusign e-mail like in the past. Question for the gurus is this… Is Docusign no longer a thing for individuals aka my pin # is my signature (Certified in person)? The .pdf I received says “electronically signed (SELF)” or am I boned in 60 to 120 days?

Lightweight short Suppressor Recomendations

I recently was awarded the right to own a CGS Hyperion by uncle sam. I bought one after blowing out my left eardrum shooting a CA Mesa 6.5 creedmoor with a muzzle break and no hearing protection while whitetail hunting in 2021 Indiana deer season. I’ve hunted for years with no muffs, but never with a muzzle break. After multiple $1100 steroid shots to my ear drum, I'm back to normal now. I have a 12 year old boy that'll be deer hunting with me and able to shoot this year for the first time, and I didn't consider the fact that I'd like for any shot around me to be suppressed too. He won't sit by himself for a couple years yet. I also don't want the same thing that happened to me to happen to him, which means we both need to be suppressed, whether sitting together or apart. My thought is, that Hyperion is awesome, but very long and I now want to buy a short suppressor to be able to add to my 17 HMR for squirrel hunting, and for him to use while deer hunting with me. I'm looking at the Sandman S, or even Sandman K. This will be a secondary can that will mostly be used for a couple shots a year for my boy on his 7mm-08, and I can also use to suppress my 17 HMR. I want it short because when squirrel hunting I'm in the thick of it and want light and short, and also because I don't want to add a bunch of weight or length to a youth rifle. What do you guys think? That sandman is pretty $$$ for the little we'll use it. Any better recommendations?

Movie Theater Jurassic whatever

I would give this movie a solid meh.....There were big, medium, and small dinosaurs that would eat you. The good guys always get away, barely, but the bad guys get spit on with acid and eaten. The good guys get away from the bad guys in the end and the world is safe again. If you saw JP 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, then you have already seen this movie. If this review saves you money, I am open to donations. Contact me for PP instructions. You are welcome. Edited to add: I was accompanied by the one and only Ms 502, and we had a lovely date, even if I had already seen the movie that I had never seen before.

AMP Annealer stretching brass???

I annealed some more once fired Peterson .375 Cheytac Brass this weekend. On my desert tech the distance from base to shoulder is 2.538” for once fired brass. After Annealing it was 2.546”. And the base of the case is so wide that I have to hammer the bolt open to get an unfired piece of brass to extract. The code that AZTEC generated was 0156.

Anyone ever hear of this happening or had it happen?

SOLD Brand new!!! Henderson, AMP, Autotrickler, Berger 140s, SAC, lapua SRP, BR4s and H4350

Read everything first, I want to find a buyer for mostly everything before I start shipping and taking payments.

Here’s the deal, life again has took a turn that I wasn’t expecting, I am located in Amarillo TX 79119, since someone will ask the question…no I won’t ship the powder or primers.

Everything is Brand-new in the sealed box minus the Henderson trimmer that’s just been on my bench. The Bergers aren’t 100% until I can verify the lots and same with the powders since people freak over lot numbers. Then I will list them together. I’m posting the prices so you understand what I want for them.

I’ve been selling on here for a while and anyone who has done business with me knows I will bend over backwards to make the deal as easy as possible.

As for payments,I will only do postal money order…I won’t ship until it’s in my account or PayPal F/F or I’ll get 1099’d.

These prices are shipped and as always I’m eating the cost to do it. So if you don’t like the prices move on. First I’ll take it wins. I won’t ask for the payment until I know 100% I can get the item out within a day or two of the payment. I don’t like taking your money until I have to.

The amp and Autotrickler are going to cost me $60-80 to ship them.

COVID log

This is not a ‘woe is me’ thread. Merely my documentation of my experience with the apocalyptic pandemic of our age.

Day 1

I had a scratchy throat yesterday, but really didn‘t think anything about it. Just kind of felt like seasonal allergies. Last night I didn’t sleep that well, and was probably running a fever at some point- as I had the chills- and I developed a mild dry cough. We had an antigen test in the house and I came up positive. My company requires testing for field based employees, and I will confirm the antigen test with the copmpany sponsored test as soon as I can get some delivered. Overall, my current symptoms are very mild body aches, dry cough, and a mild feeling of ‘constriction’ of my airways and lungs. Anyone that has had very mild asthma will understand the feeling. No fever. I still have my sense of taste.

So far, I have been perfectly ambulatory while feeling substantially worse than this. If it weren’t for the continued stigma of coughing in public, I wouldn’t be laid up I bed watching YouTube. And, I’m trying not to get the wife and kids sick.

Yes, I have been vaxed and boosted.

I probably contracted it somewhere between the Uber to the Oakland Airport, and getting in my truck in Houston last week. (I had to take an antigen test every morning before starting work at the customer site.) Figure no more than 4 days from exposure to first symptom (scratchy throat).

Well, if anyone notices that I suddenly drop off the site, you now know why.

Senators agree on bipartisan gun control....

hole in primers?

thumbnail
1655039171948.jpeg

Rifle is AR-10/LR-308 and began life as a .308 with V-seven barrel and BCG. Replaced barrel with Criterion in 6.5 Creedmoor. A buddy gave me 40 once fired Federal brass that I loaded with Winchester WLR large rifle primers. No problem. Then I bought virgin Lapua brass and loaded with Federal 205 small rifle primers and get the holes like in the picture. Loads are mild/ not hot. Head space is good. I think it's the primers, but not sure what to do about it. Does someone make firing pins that are undersized? Could this possibly solve the problem. I have 3000 of these primers and would like to use them if possible.

Attention car nuts!

s-l400.jpg

Currently for sale, $6500 AUD. 2 available. They have travelled at 1000+km/h (630+mph).
If anyone does buy them and needs help posting, i can export from Australia no issue, but expect the seller to be OK with it.

I have no affiliation with it. Its extremely cool history which i dont have the spare coin right now to grab one or 2.

Hopefully someone here can have the best man-cave upgrade possible.

Took my son out to play “Spot the Sniper”

I posted this a couple of months ago, in some of the other forums I’m on. I think the guys on here may appreciate it, too. If the pics fubar, I’ll try to get them reposted.

In March, was warm, but windy, here. Great sunshine with 20-30 MPH sustained winds and 40-50 MPH gusts. A great day to kill some time, in nature. My son is REALLY into snipers, military stuff, and being outdoors. For Christmas, he got a ghillie suit and a “Marine” camo set. Since then, he’s put a lot of miles on it, in our small suburban yard. We are only about twenty miles from the edge of a small Federal Wildlife Refuge.

We started by comparing different camo patterns, in different types of terrain and vegetation. Here is one of the pictures, just for reference:

Left to right:

Plain coyote tan hydration pack, ACU pattern hydration pack, Multicam hydration pack, desert camo hydration pack (behind the ghillie pants), the boy wearing Marpat-style pants and his ghillie shirt and hat.

Here he is, hastily hiding:

We moved into the trees and played “Spot the Sniper”. Here was his first attempt:

Zoomed in a little:

Not great….he didn’t have time to put on the head cover. His next attempt was better:

I didn’t get a picture of his next couple. Each time, he applied the lessons and his best hide was very good. I didn’t see him until I was around ten feet from him. Of course, this is a far cry from setting a FFP, but it’s good practice and age/skill appropriate to be able to disappear.

While we were out there, we also practiced avoiding and exploiting track traps. We went over the scat and tracks we saw, mostly deer and coyote. We also worked on when to use or avoid trails and how to look for signs of booby traps.

Overall, it was a ton of fun and he did great.

Here are a couple more, since it’s hard to see in the pics:
