Mk12 won’t feed reloads

Mk12 won’t feed and lock my hand loads. I have Douglas barrel, standard mil bolt carrier with a jp bolt. Hand loads are 77gr smk loaded into surplus standard mil brass. OAL is 2.25. Measured the case and everything seems to be within standards. Same rounds operate fine through my buddy’s rifle with a Daniel defense barrel. I know the tolerances on my barrel should be tighter. Bolt locks if rounds are manually loaded individually but will not lock if a mag is used. Also if loaded manually they are hard to eject manually. I’ve tried brand new p mags as well as the standard garbage ones. Also swapped the bolt carrier already. Must be something in my hand loads that I’m not seeing. Using RCBS small base two die set with Lee single stage press. Appreciate the help.

Inconsistent Pressure signs (Swipe/Ejector marks) on virgin brass with 6.5 "light-ish" loads

So, after much thrashing trying to get a good load for my .260 Rem gasser, I finally arrived on one. I worked up (actually worked down - long story) a good load in Lapua brass using the Berger 130 AR Hybrid, 41.0 gr of IMR 4451 @2790 fps. Had no pressure signs with the Lapua brass and under .5 MOA accuracy at 100 yds. I had a match coming up this weekend and wanted to use my Virgin Prime brass as I didn't want to use my new 1x fired Lapua and lose it. The Prime stuff is quite a bit lighter weight and the case volume is larger than the Lapua. So I didn't expect there would be any problems loading the same 41.0 grain load. If anything it should be slower, right?
I went out the day prior to the match to get some dope with the new loads in the Prime brass and sure enough the same load in that Prime brass was about 40 fps slower than the heavier Lapua. Accuracy was fine. But I noticed that some of the Prime brass had a significant amount of swipe while others had none. Also almost all of the cases get the plunger mark on the head. The picture below is all the same Virgin brass, all with the same load and shot on the same day. Some of the swipe actually have some sharp edges where it carved into the brass head.

So the question is 1) why am I getting this much swipe when it's a fairly light load?? 2) And then why do some show lost of swipe swipe while others are completely fine and not marked. And finally, 3) some of the virgin brass I just shot was reloaded for the match and probably 69% of them had very loose primer pockets. I would not have expected that with a lighter loads.

Is there something going on that I am not seeing? Or is Prime really that shitty and I can expect to toss right away??

TIA

Huskemaw hunting scopes

Do any of you have any experience with these scopes? I had not even heard of them before but saw one yesterday where an Outfitter was selling hunts using their BOTW rifles and Huskemaw scopes. Seemed like Snake Oil to me, but I do not know, so bit my tongue and said nothing.
I have a bitter taste in my mouth that just doesn't seem to go away.

Load Dev and Magneto Speed

So though I have reloaded a lot I have never really tried to fine tune my loads for a rifle. I just loaded up a known working loaded and didn't try to make it better. As I prepare to build my 6GT I want to make it the most accurate load I can. The magneto speed sporter is $180 vs the $340 for a v3. The majority of my shooting will be done suppressed as this will really just be a plinking rifle and sometimes maybe hunting. My question is since the sporter model isn't really supposed to work with a suppressor I was planning on finding velocity nodes without the suppressor on and finding seating depth with the suppressor on. Then once I have a good combination of the two shoot without the suppressor to get SDs and ESs then run with the suppressor. Other than taking more rounds when I go to new ranges to check velocities and Zero because one would be without the suppressor and one with the suppressor is there anything else I should consider that makes saving that $160 not worth it? Thanks everyone.

Do all powder for .223 Rem and a variety of loads

Hi folks,

Looking at developing a few different loads for different purposes and hoping to find a powder that will do it in Ramshot X-Terminator.

100 yd positional / moving target load - Whatever good deal I can get on ~55gr bulk back FMJ / BTHP / BTFMJ etc, most rounds will be this.

Longer range target load - Thinking 60gr Sierra Tipped match king as will be nice and stable in my 1:9 twist barrel (might do double duty as a fox round as well)

Deer hunting round - We have small deer here in the UK (Muntjac, Chinese Water Deer and Roe deer) and I like the 65gr Sierra Gameking SBT (Wonder if not obsolete though)

Non-Lead deer round - got 2 bullets to try with this. 55gr Nosler E-Tip and 58gr Peregrine VLR4?

Now, my thinking on this would be something with a burn rate that works for all those bullets and a ideally something that would stand being "thrown" for volume loading so a ball powder.

I had very good results with 65gr Sierra Gameking SBTs and Ramshot TAC but for 55gr FMJ it's rather slow and get very sooty necks.

What seems to give me full burn within barrel with the computer is Ramshot X-terminator.

So, I've got a pound of X-Terminator and planning on trying it out. Have I goofed? Should I be thinking of something else?

I'm using standard Magtech small rifle primers - anyone reckon a magnum primer might be better?
Anyone load any of the above bullets? Any advice gratefully received?
Nosler E-Tips on foxes / yotes: Too hard?

Best wishes,

Scrummy

Primer Shortage World Wide.....?

Wtf? I was curious to see if shotgun primers were trickling back into existence so I did an online search to find out. I was pleased to see a few online sources had them albeit a little pricey but, ok, it is what it is. Proceeded to order the I find out these are not in the US but Australia and Canada...wtf? I thought this "shortage" was industry-wide due to new gun owners, increased demand, blah blah blah, and if so, no one would have any. Why do they and we don't? Realistically, I know the answer but wtf? Pathetic! My Sunday morning rant.

Doing something wrong

All right guys. Been around here since 2002. I read a lot and look at the pics in the pit. Last year around Christmas time I bought a fancy rifle and fancy scope from peeps on this site. First weather, then Covid, then life got in the way. Finally today all the stars and planets aligned and off to the range I go. Set up a target at 50 yds to get on paper. Removed the bolt, aligned the barrel with the bulls eye. Look thru the scope and the crosshairs are low. I cant get enough out of the elevation turret to align the crosshairs with the bulls eye. More pics added for scope and mount. Sorry about the size of the pics!

AI AXSR .338 LM. Any help, advice, guidance or sorcery is welcomed.

All was not lost. My AR15 with the Rare Breed trigger runs like a champ.
