Ammo Available, Prime has a Deal for SH Members

Subject: Update on PRIME and Free Shipping for Sniper's Hide members

Hi Frank,

Please let your members know that we were able to purchase one last production run of 2 different ammunition products (see details below) from The Peterson Cartridge Company-owned SPARK Munitions before they ceased operations at SPARK a couple of months ago due to lack of components. We have the ammunition in our possession, it ships within two business days of purchase and we are offering your members free shipping to help, at least a little bit, in reducing the sting of what is an industry-wide massive shortage in components, sky-high acquisition costs (if you can find them), and crazy high retail costs.

Please have them use this code to get free shipping: FRANKBOSS1

I'm sure all your members will wonder how we ever came up with that code :) We'll open this offer to everyone else in a few days as we have a pretty decent slug of each. But for now, we are happy to offer it exclusively to Sniper's Hide members.

Please also tell your members, in whatever way you see fit, that Terry Peterson was extraordinarily generous in giving PRIME the first opportunity at some very nice 6mm Creedmoor topped with a 107gr. SMK and also some fantastic 308 Win. in a 168gr. Nosler RDF. Terry told me that the Peterson brass company is still operating, he expects that to continue, and I'd like to plug them through you if possible and remind Hide members that they sell their top-notch brass on Graff & Sons.

Fortunately for PRIME, Alpha Munitions and Eagle Eye Precision have teamed up to provide PRIME with extraordinary loaded ammunition products. We just finished meeting our November 15th deadline on completely fulfilling our last group purchase for PRIME headstamped, Alpha OCD 6.5 Creedmoor with a 140gr. Berger hybrid loaded to the kernel by Eagle Eye.

Moving forward we'll have more offerings from this combination of suppliers. We want to very sincerely thank Terry and Rick Peterson and everyone at Peterson Cartridge for seeing PRIME through some of the most extraordinarily difficult times that anyone alive today can remember and I'm very proud that we were SPARK's biggest customer by far. Without the Peterson's it's very likely that PRIME wouldn't have made it and we are very sorry to see them shut down operations at SPARK, hopefully, it's only temporary, and that they get things rolling again once components become available.

However, as one door closes another opens and we are thrilled to be working with the Danielson brothers and their teammates at Alpha along with Justin Brown's crew at Eagle Eye. The combination of Alpha's OCD brass and EE's loading capabilities have provided PRIME with MADE IN THE USA products that I'd put up against anything in the industry.

I'm sorry we are not in a position to do more for your membership at this moment in time. I feel an intense amount of loyalty to your members and to you personally for all that Sniper's Hide has done to further PRIME's mission to get more Ladies and young Americans shooting in partnership with their parents. Thank you again for your continued support and know that as soon as PRIME is able, we'll be putting more offers out and we'll always keep Sniper's Hide at the top of the list to get special deals out to your members whenever we can.

Maybe we can do a survey in the near future in order to learn what your members would like to see from us next? Given what's still going on, by no means will it be easy going forward but at least we are...going forward!

Respectfully,

--

Need assistance finding an action to meet some specific parameters

I scored a pretty incredible deal on an unused MDT TAC21 chassis this morning, and while I had been considering a custom bolt rifle for a little while now I hadn't settled on an action yet. The chassis applies some constraints to the selection criteria, and while I've been reading a lot of good info on the Hide and elsewhere about particular actions, I'm having difficulty finding one that meets my new criteria set.
So a list of things I'm looking for, if you kind folks could help me out:
  • Rem 700 Clone Short Action
  • NO integrated pic rail (tac 21 chassis has it's own top rail)
  • Standard Rem 700 pattern recoil lug (required for use with the chassis)
  • 300WSM Bolt face (.535)
  • Preferably a 60 degree bolt throw
  • a non-plunger extractor type
  • fluted bolt desired but not required
I'm not opposed to spending good money, since this will be my first custom ground-up build and I want to make sure I have a rifle I can grow my skills with. The 300WSM caliber choice is mostly on account of having access to the brass, dies, and a large variety of factory ammo through my shooting mentor.

I guess he should have just robbed or beat someone

Regardless if he was a plant, a looney, or something else...

3.5 years in jail. And that's basically a plea deal. Violent Felons get less time. I know we have the Rittenhouse trial as a spearate thing of the 'system' wanting victims, but when random bozos are getting the book, while violent criminals skate, make me want to go
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

(Not to mention about 10 years ago in WI when the teacher unions did the same thing to the WI capital, it was a "Freedom Rally" and no charges were filed....)

Left's war on self-defense

Someone like Kyle Rittenhouse – a young white man of conservative leanings – is not allowed to have that right. But this trial isn’t even about him primarily; he’s just the vehicle for delivering the message, which has several parts:

(1) Rioters in causes that the left deems righteous are allowed to destroy cities and ordinary citizens must lay low and take it. They may not defend property or even person. The most they can do if attacked is take a beating and hope to not be killed, throwing themselves on the mercy of the mob.

(2) It’s not part of the trial of Rittenhouse, but my guess is that if he had fallen into a protected minority ethnic group or persuasion, he might have been spared the wrath of the prosecutors. Then again, maybe not – ask “white Hispanic” George Zimmerman.

(3) The MSM and the left will mount a defamatory campaign against their designated enemies (in this case Rittenhouse, but it could be anyone who meets their criteria). That will taint jury pools so badly that a lack of evidence to bolster the prosecution’s case (in Rittenhouse’s case, a complete lack of evidence favoring the prosecution) won’t matter. This is especially true if the goal isn’t necessarily conviction, because a hung jury will do. The principle is that the process is the punishment, and the state will not relent in its pursuit of its quarry – multiple trials if necessary.

These messages are for the general public and don’t really have much to do with Rittenhouse himself.

Do the prosecutors realize Rittenhouse is not guilty and is in fact innocent? I think they do and simply don’t care about his actual innocence because he is guilty of being who he is, and that’s enough. Plus, he’s useful to them as an object against which to stir up hate and to deter self-defense, which is their larger goal. And they care about usefulness rather than the individual. Plant to charge those batteries.....

CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- A small city in the top U.S. coal-mining state of Wyoming will be home to a Bill Gates-backed experimental nuclear power project near a coal-fired power plant that will soon close, officials announced Tuesday.

Bellevue, Washington-based TerraPower will build its Natrium plant in Kemmerer, a southwestern Wyoming city of 2,600 where the coal-fired Naughton power plant operated by PacifiCorp subsidiary Rocky Mountain Power is set to close in 2025.

Shot the front end off dat thing! [kinda]

So odd one for you 1911/2011 guys

Was shooting and bringing a friend into the gun world at a local range today.

Shooting a small SAO 1911, it was one of those cramped bays which may have played a roll, I was over emphasizing finger off the trigger, loaded a mag, drop the slide with the lever, aaaaand off goes the slide! Little fucker probably went a good 4’! Gun didn’t fire or anything like that, just a “well that’s odd”

No harm no damage, but I got to the debrief, my only thought was (right handed) the index trigger finger may have been pushing on the rounded nub of the takedown, when the slide release was thumbed down, possibly with pressure on the nub, for the brief second the slide took the side
loading off the takedown pin it was enough to push the pin out, and off came the slide (mag release was sitting just below the frame).

Two questions,

1 Does this make sense? Albeit uncommon, I have put tons of pistol rounds down range and mostly out of 1911 style guns never had this happen or heard of it 🤷‍♂️

2 Why don’t they make these flush? ARs takedowns are flush, why do 1911s always seem to have a rounded end that protrudes?

MMA fighter stabs doctor to death with bone from restaurant dish during a dispute over COVID vaccine.

TAMUNING, GUAM. NOVEMBER 7, 2021

Professional MMA fighter Akmal Khozhiev, also known as "AK-47" and now in hardcore MMA forums such as Sherdog as the "Unvaccinated Assassin", got into a dispute with a doctor from Guam Memorial Hospital over the COVID-19 vaccine while the two were at an apartment complex next to the hospital. At one point, Khozhiev told the doctor Miran Rabati, a radiologist at GMH, that he "didn't trust him anymore". Dr. Rabati said something back to Khoziev, and that was when the 27 year old fighter grabbed a bone from the meal that he had just eaten and stabbed Rabati to death. Khozhiev allegedly told the police "Yeah I did it. I killed him" when they showed up. Dr. Rabati was pronounced dead on the scene.

My old Friend

Our Esteemed President reacting to references to the friendship that he shares with the Communist Chinese Leader

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked him last April if he would call Xi, “old friend to old friend,” to cooperate in investigating the origins of COVID-19. Biden snapped, "Let’s get something straight: we know each other well, we’re not old friends. It’s just pure business."

So how did Xi begin the virtual summit? "It’s the first time for us to meet virtually. Although it’s not as good as a face-to-face meeting, I’m very happy to see my old friend.”

Firearms Custom Tikka 300 WM

This is a custom Tikka 300 WM I built with intent on long-range hunting and Scott's Nightforce ELR Challenge. It was built by Bryan Litz’s Applied Ballistics Weapons Division in Michigan when they were still putting rifles together.
  • 26″ Bartlein 5r, 1-9 Twist, Sendero Contour, Black Cerakote
  • McMillian A3-5 stock. Adjustable LOP and cheek rest.
  • Stainless Tikka T3 Action, Black Cerakote
  • Mountain Tactical Long Action AICS DBM
  • Mountain Tactical Long Action Bolt Stop
  • Accurate Mag AICS 300 WM Magazine (x2)
  • APA Little Bastard 30 Cal Muzzle Brake
  • Edit: 10.5 lb unloaded, minus bipod and optic.
With the Mountain Tactical modifications and a small modification to the feed ramp, this rifle can cycle up to 3.615″ OAL cartridges. This means you can load 200+ gr class bullets long and really scream them out. I developed a load for 212 gr ELD-Xs and 215 gr Berger Hybrids that was safely approaching 2900 to 3000 ft/s. It also shot some ABM 230 Berger factory ammo really, really well.

The rifle is an easy all-day 3/4 MOA gun. I’ve shot better groups, but we all know how that goes. It also shoots like a pussycat.

I've logged only about 50 rounds down the tube.

The scope and bipod aren’t included.

I will consider trades for a nice Hoyt or Matthews bow with complete setup (arrows, sights, etc).

$1600 shipped.
