Could use some guidance on where to start as I am very new to bolt guns. Just returned back from a training course, first time out over 100 yards and had a blast! Had to end up calling it quits early as I was blowing primers out consecutively and it was jamming up the bolt with gunk and parts of primer.
I shot 110 rounds over two days, a few primers went the first day, then it got much worse the second day and I stopped. I have attached a picture of the bolt, I’m guessing I have some damage but not really sure what exactly I am looking at. The questions is, where would you start to fix this issue? Switch up ammo? Check for internal damage? Scrap the whole gun and go buy an AI? Need some suggestions on where to go from here, particularly if it’s even safe to continue using if I switch ammo? Thanks!

LPVO or LPVO + offset red dot have seemed to be the koolaid flavor of the day for the past few years. However I’m seeing a lot of guys ditching that and going back to ACOGs and ACOGs + RMR…Elcan 1-4s and 1-6s. What is driving this tread back to what worked years ago

Howdy folks. Just looking for a little help diagnosing a dope change.

I usually hold 3.9m at 600. Today it was consistently 4.4m. I would expect maybe a .1 shift with different weather conditions at this range. Not a whole half mil

Rifle: bmp 6.5 creed. Everything snuggled down to spec. Pic rail is bedded on.

Handloads: h4350, hornady 140bthp. Powder and bullets are different lots than last time, but chronographed velocity remained the same despite colder temperatures.

Scope: just swapped to a trijicon tenmile. Put it in my tall target vice and it consistently tracked. Both were in the same height nightforce rings.

All in all I'm not sure what the hell would cause it. Winds were insignificant. No major pressure changes. If anyone has something to point to I'd appreciate the insight.

Looking at relocating to eastern CO for work, likely in the fort collins, loveland or greeley area..... what do the options look like in eastern CO for places to shoot long range? Are there some long ranges in the area?

This rifle is in excellent condition. There is a small ding on the metal of the tang on the left side. I am the 2nd owner of this rifle. The OEM barrel had approximately 400 rounds through it according to the original owner. I have shot a logged 1337 rounds for a total of approximately 1737 rounds down this barrel.

New in the box 1994 Browning Citori Lighting Field over under shotgun. Made in Japan. 16ga Grade 6. The first time this has been out of the box and plastic is 10 minutes ago for these photos. Had a slight mix up purchasing a rifle from the buy-sell-trade. First I'd like to say it's honestly my fault and the seller has been amazing. He gave me a good price, answered my endless questions and walked me through everything i needed to do to have the gun mailed.(my first time buying from a private party online)

Anyways I had trouble with paypal and it wasn't letting me send the full amount. I got my sister to send the money for me with her paypal account which has our business account linked(my brother-in-law and I are co-owners of our business).

I forgot to tell the seller about what all happened and didn't think about it have his info on there. when I woke up I seen the seller had sent me a picture of the shipping receipt informing me it was on the was to my FFL location I chose. Turns out he had put my brother-in-laws name on it and also used that name on the copy of his driver license to transfer.


Anyone have any experience with this or know what needs to be done to fix it?

I bought this from a fellow and told it was unfired unless they proof fire them at the factory. The rifle is like new and I see no signs of it being used. Tikka T3 stainless varmint in 223 with a 8 twist barrel. Only thing missing are the 2 sling studs, like that when I bought it. Thought I had some in a draw somewhere, if I find them I will screw them in. It will come with the original magazine.
