certainly nothing to roast there,a reasonable take. i just want to be left alone. sanctioned if i do wrong in BEHAVIOR,not what's in my head. Islam is a big problem as the only major religion that advocates killing and enslaving non believers. there is some similar in the old testament. stuff in Gaza now seems to have a religious component for the Jews. 10/7 sure did going the other way.
will admit that atheist societies have been problematic Lenin,Stalin,Mao,Hitler, communism in general. i willsay that those 4 had a religious zealotry form. Hoffer explains the process pretty well.

The Greatest Archaeological and Technological Discovery of Mankind

Aliens 100 percent exist. We would be incredibly arrogant to think that we are the only life form that evolved in several billion galaxies.

Run the Drake equation.

But there is no point getting in touch with us. We have only been radiating for about 150 years. Not enough time for our emanations to make it anywhere that matters. And even if someone 'did' spot us, the energy budgets involved in visiting don't make 'drive by anal probing' likely or realistic.

I know... your post is satire. And you are right... we are probably not evolved enough to bother to visit.

But I'll quote Stephen Hawking... "Any contact would come from a highly-advanced alien civilization and would probably be very messy." (maybe more of a paraphrase....) The net of it is that advanced civilizations rarely do well by primitive civilizations. Will Smith and Tom Cruise aside... we'd be fucked!

About 60 years ago I read a sci-fi short-story. A spaceship lands, a single being emerges and its intelligence is so far beyond human that within days he(?) is ruling the world. Short-story synopsis: Sometime later another spaceship lands, two beings come and take the first alien away apologizing to the people of earth. Seems the first had escaped a mental ward and stole the spaceship.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Yes that's all true, but given the choice between dealing with PTG, installing a unit from FN that hasn't been made in 5+ years while using proprietary mags & going with a current production unit from @LRI that uses AICS mags, well, that's a no-brainer to me... But the heart wants what it wants, man. The only things 'wrong' with the TBM are its ugly as fuck & proprietary mags (which I'm sure are only getting harder to come by).
Ugly mags? They’re just a black block…

Again, this is a bad analogy. Resellers in this industry, do not set the prices period. MSRP, map, what we have to pay the manufacturer for their product is all controlled by the manufacturer.
I’m pretty sure that’s what he was saying. The CEO was blaming the resellers and putting the blame on them when the company/CEO jacked the prices up.
