The Greatest Archaeological and Technological Discovery of Mankind

interesting. don't get your reference to the book and authors, but no matter. pro religion atheist? interesting might be a valid take. being an atheist with a very mixed opinion of religion,i put in my top 5 worst things humans have ever invented. other 4-government,direct genetic manipulation,WMDs in general, machines that mimic the human brain,AKA computers.
hate to admit it but i realize that some form of social control is needed, humans being the way they are. religion can and has,at times, been a positive force in society. it's historical record is poor at best. ie the Muslim conquest, the crusades, partition of India,European wars of religion in mid ages, extermination of most pre Columbian civs by Spanish, extermination of Scandinavian pagans by Rome,Gaza today there are others. yes, religion is often used as an excuse for a lot of bad things and minor things. stuff is often carried out by true believers or manipulated by various elites. religion should be a positive force in society but neutral as far as a tool to use as an abuse of power.
i will admit that the argument often made here that our inalienable rights come from God,not society,is a strong one. hard to come up with a more reasonable origin of said rights, which should be self evident.
One does not have to be religious to accept that Judeo-Christian Principles are the legitimate basis of a sustainable and succesful society...

And also recognize that some of the BS that Islam projects are against societal organizing principles... and are, at their basis. the seeds of descruction of progress.. being rooted in the 9th century, which was pretty much a disgusting era of genocide and buggery.

Religion is good for civilization. One does not have to be a 'Believer' to admit that it is an important element of societal organization.

Religion should be supported... even by folks (like me, I'll admit) that think the roots of religion are not supportable by physics. That does NOT mean that I don't think religion is vital to our civilization.

Ok, roast me... fight me... call me Satan. Whatever.

Time pieces/Watches?

I would love something like that on my desk.
I'll either make a custom wood display case that I'll have my son help me with as he likes working with wood or will 3d print a display holder. Also will install a UV light that will face the clock face so when you turn it on in the dark it will look something like this....

Val Kilmer - The mag reload scene -RIP

Deniro did the same, right? Cant wait to see those comments when he kicks the bucket. Will they be so kind?

Can't speak for others, but my comments will be nothing but kind when De Niro's number is up. I couldn't care less how he feels about Trump or politics as a whole, all I care about and respect is what he's brought to the entertainment world. Same for when Al Pacino's number is up as well.

The Greatest Archaeological and Technological Discovery of Mankind

There are also folks who really think the Earth is flat.

Ok...

I've read Ward/Hash-Brownie. And think that they should stick to bong hits and worshippinig Crystals and amulets and claiming that we were created in 7 days by an un-explainable dude who noone can explain how he was created... I get it.

Again, math and common sense says we are not alone. As for religion... I am all for it! Mankind needs it as an organizing principle. If we did not have a god, we would need to invent one. Ok... I am fine if there is one. Or not. But if we all behave better thinking there is one.... because the existance of God makes us better at organizing a peaceful and productive society... then I am 100 percent for it.

Pro-Religion Athiests... I bet there are a lot of us.

Personally, I worship Physics. But folks who want to attribute things to a Diety... have my 100 percent respect. Because they are responsible for the precepts of civilization. So are physicists... But sadly no churches were built to physicists and cosmologists. No worries. We don't need them.

Now religious fundamentalists.... those crackpots are more dangerous than a monkey with an AK-47... Fuck them.

I’m good on SUV’s, lol. Picked up a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee late last year. I need to sell my 4Runners while people are still paying retarded prices for them, but I think I can likely get more once the tariffs hit.
Tesla Cybertrucks seem like they will be cutting prices and prices of used ones likely already cratered

With Tesla having issues selling new Cybertrucks, the automaker is reportedly not taking any as trade-ins. Many Cybertruck owners reported trying to trade-in the truck for a new vehicle and they were told that the automaker currently doesn’t accept its own vehicle as a trade-in.

Some owners who have had their trucks in service for extended periods of time are also trying to get Tesla to take the truck back, but the company is forcing them to go through the Lemon Law process.

It’s not surprising to see Tesla not wanting to take back used Cybertrucks as their prices are falling fast.

Used Cybertruck prices are down 55% year over year, 13% over the last three months, and 6% over the last month.

As Tesla doesn’t take the Cybertruck as a trade-in, other used car dealers are also reticent about buying the vehicle. They have been known to give low-ball offers to potential sellers as they wait to see where the price will stabilize.
