May I ask what you are trying to do ? I don't mean that in a a-hole way, just more of a "I don't think I would want to mess with a REPR upper drastically.

I "think" it might fit... you might consider e-mailing MI and ask them

That said, I would "think" a MI receiver rod would work. From what I can tell...Your REPR upper appears to use a typical 308 CH track dimension-ally, appears to be typical 308 bolt lug setup, and a typical bolt to receiver extension interface.

Be aware... you might need to remove some material on the MI's top "fin", if it is a tight fit.

My half baked theory was that the plastic tip was deforming with that sort of heat and pressure and impacting ballistic performance. It’s the only round I had real issues with in the 223AI. It might be worth backing it off a little bit and seeing if that helps.

I bought some Hornady 75gn BTHP’s to try soon.

This 15 rounds was after I scrubbed the barrel.
25.2gn of H4895/75 gn ELDM @5 thou off
No Chrono data, I left it in the wrong case.

Been laid up with bad back. Started to go out to a store and made it to my pickup truck and back went into spazm before I could get in.

So the "work" put into weight loss is creeping out by the minute.

Yeah, I'm on 6CM barrel #2. I gave up on the round after I burned the first barrel out in 1,400 rounds (and I shoot slow)...but it is hard not to come back when the midrange ballistics are stinking good. It is like a little magnum (until you get out to real distance).
