Accessories Magneto Speed V2 Cheap

Used V2 I have been running for a few years. A few things to call out.

1) I don't have any of the small screws used to add the spacers and lock them down. I just added the spacers and ratcheted the tie down without issue.

2) The strap for the tie down to a barrel (or suppressor) is missing a metal bar that made it easier to tighten. It broke a few years ago, however, the strap still works fine without it. I just pinch the strap against my suppressor and tighten it down.

3) Last time I used this I got some funky readings when the humidity and cold were present. The SD was consistent, but my velocity swung by 100fps. It was a day when the air temp and humidity changed massively and the strings were shot before and after the change. I had never seen that happen.

Given all of this and the fact it's well used, if someone wants it for $75 shipped it is all yours. It has served me well from 22LR to 300 PRC.

223 Ackley Improved

Krieger 26 barrel
Lapua brass
Cci 450
75 eldm from touching to 20 thou off

Varget 24-25.5 gn/ lil slower but better groups
H4895 low 24’s-25.2/ prolly could soup it up a lil more/ speeds better
Tiny pressure signs on primer only at higher charges, no heavy lift or swipe.

I can get ES of 20-30 & SD of 12-17 easy.
But nothing better than that. My OCD likes better tho I can’t shoot/see a difference.
I would bump up the varget. Double check me but that seems low for a 75. That's a fairly standard load in a standard 223.

For comparison, I run 24.5gr of n140 with my 90s in a fire forming load. N140 is pretty close to varget in burn rate, maybe a touch faster.

Poor man’s AI picture thread (AICS)

Since 2004, it’s the only chassis I’ve used for bolt guns. Here’s my very first one, an AICS 1.5 purchased from Impact Guns, a company that probably doesn’t exsist anymore. I think it was less than $500 and came with one five round magazine. Later, Sniper Country PX sold them, and by 2006 or 07, you could buy them from Midway USA. In those days a 2.0 was $850 or so, MSRP.

It was the hot lick in 2003-05, but then it fell out of favor with the cool kids and guys began selling them.

In those days, Tac Pro shooting in Mingus Texas was the US distributor for AI and it was the only place that had 10 round magazines.

I still have the skins for this thing, although the 1.5 skeleton wss converted to a 2.0 years ago.

And there’s a giant wooden deck in my backyard where this plastic table was.

Edited to add: picture was probably taken with a second generation digital camera that looked like a yellow camera.
