Pope Death Watch... WITH A PRIZE!!! Quart of Maple Syrup to the winner!

Ok.... looks like we need a King vs. Pope Vs. Putin race... I might have to make a board on the 'fridge!

Who else should we add to Dead Pool 2025? The less likable the better!

Ever notice that you always hear women bitching about sex with men, but you never hear gay dudes doing it? Obviously women are the problem not dudes.

Name one time you’ve heard anyone on this list bitch about their sexual relations with men.

Match grade barrel fouling after 40rds?

Question, I know you are getting good velocities. It looks like as the “barrel fouls” velocity increases as does pressure, but goes back down when cleaned. Describe the appearance of your cases when shit right after cleaning . Are they nearly covered in carbon or still bright? What I am wondering is if the fouling is sealing the chamber. As the chamber seals the pressures increase until they go above what you want.

Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56 vs SB 6-36x56 PMii

I have lots of experience with the PM II 5-25 and the ATACR 7-35, currently have multiple copies of both.

Ultimately the ATACR has an edge over the PM II. ATACR has a more contrasty image overall which correlates to better colors/more saturation. It seems like that might give the impression of better fine detail resolution since the contrast stands out a bit more. Ultimately both resolve fine detail really well so it's splitting hairs IMO.

The ATACR has a bit bigger field of view behind the scope. At 20x (where I shoot the most) the ATACR has about 1 mil wider FOV and a slightly larger apparent image circle.

The S&B has a bit more forgiving parallax, you can pretty much leave it at 300-500 and shoot almost anything from 200 to 1k. The NF needs a bit more adjustment to focus on any given distance.

I think I see trace and mirage a bit better with the NF.

I am switching over to the 7-35 as my main comp scope, after about 7 years with the S&B.

Magpul - 2025 New Maztech X4-FCS & X4-LRF

From what I understand, they are working through the first batch of trial production units. If the integration between X4 and WMLRF is as good as it looked on production units, they will do very nicely with these. I was pretty impressed with it at SHOT, so I have been occasionally chatting with them. I generally stopped taking on new review items until I undig myself a little, but this Maztech stuff is definitely at the top of my list.

Once upon a time, the English were not poncey fucks who were assumed to be buggering boys at private school...

Meet Major Digby Tatham-Warter. During Market Garden, he led a bayonet charge wearing a bowler hat and carrying an umbrella.

He believed that radio calls were unreliable, so he trained his battalion to use bugle calls from the Napoleanic wars... and during Market Garden when the wrong crystals were installed in all the British radios... his soldiers communicated with bugles.

He used his umbrella to save a Chaplin... using it to cover a withdrawl. And disabled a German armored car by poking his umbrella through the drivers slit, blinding the driver... and forcing the crew to surrender.

Captured after being wounded at Arnhem, he jumped out of a hospital window... rounded up another 150 or so British troops and escaped with the help of the 101st... back to Allied lines.

For all this... he was denied a VC... but got a DSO. Sort of like a kiss from a cousin.

After the war, he helped put down the MauMau rebellion. And helped the Safari industry take off in Africa in the 1950's.

There are still Englishmen like this... Most of them live near the boathouse.

Never be conventional...

how is that round man?
It does well enough. I'd probably do a dasher or GT if I had to do it over again. They just seem easier to load for. My buddy had a 6x47 reamer and I had a bunch of 6.5x47 brass so it was easy to do. I was thinking it would be as easy to setup as my 6.5x47 (my favorite round) but it isn't. Not bad but not 6.5x47 easy.

Sounds like I'm comparing but it holds .45" to .3" nearly constantly.

Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+

I've had the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ here since December and have been using it pretty exclusively since then.
I suspect, it will remain my primary binocular at least for this year and quite possibly beyond that.
I finally have a wrap-up video up on Youtube:
Login to view embedded media and I discussed it in a few livestreams prior to that.
I have not yet had a chance to use it for hunting, but I have used it for a good amount of scouting. I had an aoudad tag for late February, but my dayjob went berserk, so I had to pass on it.
The cliff's notes version is that I am quite impressed with it. Optically, I think it is the best LRF bino on the market today overall, although it is quite close between Leica, Swaro and Zeiss.
AB integration in the Leica is a nice touch, since it works with everything else in the AB ecosystem. I use it with AB's Quantum app quite seamlessly. It also connected to my Kestrel without any issues.
They way they've got data coming out is more hunting oriented, I think. Competition guys would probably lean toward a busier snapshot view. I am sort of ambivalent in this case. For the way, I use them, it does not make any practical difference.
My only real complaint is that I would have probably preferred a 50mm and if Leica really wants to go after the competition crowd, they should really consider a 12x50 version of the Perger prism LRF binocular design. Still, as is it has worked very nicely for me through some impressively rough treatment and of all of the LRF binoculars I have tried, this is definitely the one that produces the least amount of eye fatigue. I can use it for a substantial amount of time through the day without any issues.

I will never understand why this is a life goal for some people.

I agree, never understood people who like cedar trees either
