I got the accessories installed on the motor, the front end put back on and sorted through the electrical and plumbing stuff, driveshaft made and the transmission plumbing done.

That Monte is looking great!! Is that a March pulley setup? I'm in the process of a complete new system and leaning towards CVT.....seems like a pretty good bang for the $$$

There's no requirement to be at dances, coach or be part of after school activities. Grading papers, Ohh nooo. You didn't get it done during the planning period or lunch hour and you had to take it home. Boo fucking hoo. It's not an everyday thing.

Can you confirm what material the mag well piece is made of, and whether it is removable or not? If it's polymer and removable, there's hope for an aluminum or other future options for swapping out the mag well then. Thanks in advance!

I've been playing with the 160gr CX a little bit, mostly with Grand, which is right next to H1000 on the burn rate chart. I think that's probably a good burn rate for this bullet but I also would expect to see velocities a little lower than similar weight lead bullets, or at least that's always been my experience shooting copper bullets. How far are you loading off the lands? I still have more work to do on my 160gr CX loads, but so far 65 thou and 85 thou off seem to shoot better than closer to the lands.

Here's a spread I shot with Grand before I started load work, obviously similar burn rate doesn't mean same charge weights, in general Grand charge weights are higher, but I'd expect H1000 to pressure out a little bit slower. This is a 19" barrel, so if your barrel is longer you might see higher velocities with H1000. I'd have to check my notes at home, but I think 71gr 65 or 85 thou off was the best group so far. Accuracy hasn't been as good as 175gr ELDx, 175gr ABLR or 180gr ELD yet, but not wildly bad or anything. I think I need to fiddle with seating depths some more and maybe try H1000 with these bullets.

Steiner T6xi 5-30. I like it quite a bit.

With the 77s, I got around 2800 fps and with the 53gr V-Max load, I got 3200 fps. Shoot, with the 53gr rounds, I got 2900 fps out of my 11.5. The ammo shot very well too. All rounds landed within a 1.5" paster at 100.

I like your choice of scopes as well. I love my NX8. I really don't know how the web got so flooded with so much negative information about the NX8, while everyone is touting the PLXc. I followed the hype and bought a PLXc, but wound up selling it after getting my hands on the NX8.

I keep meaning to try out that Black Arc ammo, I've read a lot about it.

The internet is a funny place for sure. I couldn't believe all the bad reviews I was reading about both the NX8 1-8 and the Vortex Razor 1-10. I have one of each, and believe me I would not keep them if I thought they sucked. They are incredibly versatile and well done optics for my use case. I think the internet is filled with groupthink and people who parrot stuff they read online, rather than firsthand experience.

If you just look at the history of this planet there have been several insane changes and life ending events created by itself outside of a meteor strike. Thinking that humans alone are causing the change is very narcissistic. Volcanos emit more crap into the atmosphere than we do. Launching these satellites into space emit stuff as well. Hydrocarbons, NOX, etc. Lightning strikes a dry forest and giant fire happens and smoke and ash and all the normal gasses go into the air. Only in recent times do we have people to battle these fires, in nature they would burn until they run out of fuel or conditions change.

Realistically there are no true experts because nobody has been alive long enough to know what the weather was exactly doing 400+ years ago. Hell, how long have we actually been able to accurately measure temperature for? I guess they can look at the tree rings and rocks for "evidence" but it still only tells one story for that location. How many times have the "experts" told us the climate was going this direction or that, only to be wrong and then instead of global warming, global cooling or whatever buzz words they want. Now it's just climate change so they can never be wrong. No shit climate changes all the time.

Ocean currents shift and it affects the weather. An earthquake happens near Thailand and moves the currents 200 miles in a different direction, weather responds. Volcano erupts over here and the weather corresponds. I know guys that chase marlin all over the world and they use this exact info to predict what the ocean and weather will do and go to the right areas to catch marlin. Somehow 60% of the time it works every time. So sorry I am not going to listen to a few people that write a paper with their theory that CO2 is pulling heat and going to cause satellites to fall out of orbit. If I am wrong and it happens I will admit it. I feel stronger that they will strike some space garbage and break up and fall to earth and then it will be blamed on climate change.
