I tend to agree with this since you're a beginner.Bond the pillars in place then bed it is probably the easiest. The other method would be to set the pillars up on bedding studs against the receiver and do the pillar setting and bedding all in one shot.
Epoxying the pillars in place first (make SURE they're the correct length for your action/configuration) makes it a no-brainer as the barreled action will have it's elevation "set" by the pillars- all you need to do is relieve the wood all the way around to make room for adequate epoxy depth.
I do like the others here and do it in one shot because it's faster- but this method means you need to leave a small section of wood at the rear of the tang, and tape the barrel to get the desired clearance in the barrel channel and get the barreled action oriented correctly. IMO it's also a little easier to fuck up if you're not careful, I'd get some experience first before doing both at the same time.
