SOLD Grey Birch LDR .22LR w/ Carbon Barrel 16.1" - Limited Edition Woodland Camo - SOLD

Selling a Grey Birch LDR (Long Distance Ready) in .22lr. This particular rifle was a custom collab with Fear Tomorrow and Astra Defense. Receiver embossed logos and woodland cerakote was applied as a part of this limited run. The rifle has under 200 flawless rounds through it and will come as shown with the folding stock, bag rider and one magazine. Optic, mount, bipod and suppressor not available.

About the LDR: As opposed to traditional 10/22 barrel installation, Grey Birch has developed their Fusion system to thread the barrel directly into the receiver resulting in a much more accurate system. They claim "We built it from the ground up on the premise that semi-auto rimfire can be as accurate and reliable as its bolt action cousins."

SOLD

Will ship to your FFL or willing to meet Texans FTF.

More pics to follow later this evening.

Night Vision INFIRAY BOLT TX60C 1024 60MM

Any thoughts on this new unit? Specs look good at first glance, but the lack of integrated LRF kinda sucks. Picture quality should be awesome. Thinking of it on a bolt gun for coyote hunting, but not a fan of the lack of integrated LRF and it being chinesium. I wish Pulsar or Nvision would come out with something similar.

Headspace. ? On 6.5cm proof ss zermatt origin prefit

My proof research SS 6.5 creedmoor zermatt origin action prefit barrel gave me a headspace/datum line measurement of 1.534" on fireformed brass yet my brand new alpha brass had a measurement of 1.5345" and im not sure if this is usual? this is my first bolt gun and new brass typically has a much shorter headspace measurement than once fired. After installing the barrel i checked the go which it closed on and no go which is failed to close on so the barrel passed them but it just seems a little strange that my once fired has the same datum line measurement as brand new brass thats usually on the shorter side of datum line measuremens. Can anyone explain if this is normal. If not is it bad? I contacted proof and they basically said it's fine but idk it feels strange to me. What is usually what ppl experience in fireformed brass datum line headspacing growth from new brass?

Can a lead sled reflect the accuracy of my rifle and load?

I started to shoot groups for accuracy, using a 223 Zermatt TL3 action with a Shilen 26" barrel and MDT ACC Premier chassis. After the initial adjustments for the bullet seating depth, I got .75" outside to outside groups, that are now opening up to one inch. Everything is the same. Before I make any changes to the rifle and/or loads, I would like to make sure that I am not the problem. Can a lead sled provide a reliable answer? I would want to just pull the trigger and don't touch anything in order to take me out of the equation.
Is this a good idea or the wrong approach? Please let me know what your experiences with this method have been.

Custom Desert Tech Butt Pad Adapter

I feel I need to start off with a bit of background about this project. If you’re not interested, please skip to the next paragraph, that’s where I get into the specifics about each Adapter Plate. So, what led me here was the desire to eliminate how the OEM buttpad stuck up above the rifle. As you’ll notice in the pics, I shoot with the cheek riser at the lowest position and I had that OEM buttpad right there behind my ear which isn’t so bad when I’m shooting suppressed but when there are times I need to wear earpro, it’s a major PITA. I found out SAC had produced a fully adjustable butt pad assembly and that would’ve worked great for me but they don’t seem super motivated to make them again, it might happen but who knows when that will be? A buddy of mine buys a really nice 3D printer, he’s super successful with what he’s doing and it makes me think. I’ll just model one of the Desert Tech spacers and refine it in such a way that I can add a recoil pad. I looked at my AI Target butt stock and as simple as that is I just feel it’s too much and settle on making it a FIXED recoil pad adapter. Once I see my buddies 3D printed part works on both my A1 and A2 chassis, I notice that the one Pachmayr recoil pad has a pretty solid bottom plate in which an additional hole could be drilled. I then make another model with one long slotted hole and now I have an ADJUSTABLE recoil pad adapter. I understand it’s not as sophisticated as your typical target adjustable butt pads but hey, it gets you some vertical adjustment and will rotate. If I were some machine shop owner, I’d have something truly great designed but all I have right now is the design software….I rely on my buddy for quick prototypes and then rely on another company for the finished product.

Some of you may have seen this in the OFFICIAL (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread….I put this there hoping to get some good feedback. I got some, not as much as I had hoped so I’m starting this thread to show off my Custom Desert Tech Butt Pad Adapter. The hope is to generate enough interest to submit an order….IF interested in this, PM me for pricing and details on sending me a deposit.

UPDATE: 4/20/2021

New pics, thought maybe it best to show what the recoil pad would look like in Black. I thought the Brown would look good since my rifle is FDE but now that I see it, I think I like BLACK BEST. Also, I am more than willing to submit another order but I will tell you that I would like to get as many people on board, it helps with a slight price break....

The pics below are of the Pachmayr F250 pad. It is small, meaning it's not very long and not very thick. You can see how it compares to the F325 that is LARGE. Also, something to note, this pad came with a white line in it, I didn't care for that so I used a Black Sharpie....I think it turned out OK???

AR10 Accuracy not good

Last weekend I went out to the range to make sure my AR was still sighted in correctly.
I fired 2, made an adjustment on the scope and was close to the center.

Took about 4 more shots two were together but high but still in the rings and left from center, two were right of center.

So I'm thinking it is me jerking the trigger.

I got out my 308 bolt gun and put 8 shots right on the bulls eye.

I put both guns on the rest when I shot them, used the same ammo, have identical scopes on both.

So do I have a barrel issue or something else ?

Honda 4trax Forman vs Rancher ATV's

Looking to get a new ATV for side work and getting around the property. Mainly will be used for side work such as marking timber, TSI work, so it needs to be able to carry paint, or a saw/weedeater with a blade and fit into stocked woodlots. Needs to be able to follow skid trails and climb steepish ground following skid trails.

Also would be used for doing chores around the farm, I am planning to start inoculating/growing shiitake mushrooms/collecting sap from my over abundance of Black Walnut trees on my property. It would need to be reliable enough so I can leave the tractor in my shed.

Anyone have either? I'd like to keep it under 10k and fit in the bed of my pickup when going to possible sites.

Also, where is the best financing, I have not even begun to apply for loans but seeing the interest rates on these things is wild, dealerships are advertising 7.99% interest. I assume I could get it to go lower with good credit/down payment?
