For those who own the Swaro EL Range, I am curious to know your workflow when forcing the binos to match your dope. After some tweaking, I was able to get it to read spot on to 1k, but it wasn't without trial and error, so not sure if there is a better way or if this is even the "correct" way, but I do have it reading spot on with my real world dope using this method. Let me know if you see any issues.

1. In the EL Range app, I assured all applicable info was correct. a.)choose any mil based Swaro scope that matches your non-swaro optic in adjustment value b.)input height over bore c.)Conditions: I am assuming this is zero conditions, so I input the temp and elevation where I obtained my zero d.)Zero Range set to 100 yards, MRD set to off.
2. Ammunition: Use database to select bullet (for me 175g ELD-X), go immediately to "Expert Mode" and enter your air and temp reading and input difference between measuring points (for me, 300 yards: MV=2762 and 300 yard velocity=2456) as measured by chrono.
3. Shoot at 300 yards, then at 600 yards. 600 yard actual impact needs .2 mil more mils then what the Swaro reads. So I go back in and tweak my initial MV by -5% and my 300 yard velocity by -5% and then the Swaro is reading the same as my real word DOPE.
4. Move out to 800 and 1000 yd. Again, I need .2 mils more from the SWARO app to match my real 1000 yard Dope. The BC that the Swaro app calculated after I entered my tweaked MV and 300 yard velocity was .418. I go in and tweak that number down to .398 to get the 1000 yard reading to match real world DOPE.
5. Real DOPE and Swaro EL Range now match up from 100 to 1000 yds.

FWIW, The problem I had, and eventually abandoned, was that I attempted to correct the Binos initially using the "Elevation" feature in expert mode rather than the "Bullet Velocity." Fortunately for me I was shooting where I could get actual velocities all the way out to 1,000 yards, but the elevation feature would/should be far more handy as you don't need a chrono. You are supposed to be able to enter your drop data, in inches, between two points. I would input my drop in inches at 600 yards, but it always spit out something insane, like 14 mils. I am not sure if this feature is broken, or there is another way to use it. I used 500 yards as my distance between two points, 100 yd zero and 600 yd drop. I just couldn't get anything remotely close to actual my actual DOPE.

Went to check cameras today on my property in southern Indiana (northern Clark Co) that had been hanging since mid-August. I found two cameras with chewed-on straps, and a third with a chewed-on strap that was missing its motion sensor. All three cameras were no-glo StealthCams (G42NG and G45NG).




Checked the card in the camera with the missing motion sensor and guess what I find?




These three young coyotes evidently decided eating fawns wasn't enough, they were gonna eat $100 trail cameras too. Here's the best pic of them, but they were on the other two cameras with chewed-on straps as well.




We've had this property for over 8 years with between 6-10 cameras up at any time, and this has NEVER happened. Now its three cameras fussed with in a one-week period (early Oct) by the same group of bored-ass juvenile deliquent yotes.

Anybody experienced this before from coyotes?

I hope to introduce them to Mr. NAP Spitfire or Mr. 108gr Elite Hunter if they come across me in stand in the coming month.

Just wanted to let you know that we've altered our sound testing technique a bit. Instead of just continuing on with the standard PEAK impulse decibel data, we wanted to provide more information for customers regarding dosing data.

We contacted Hottinger Brüel & Kjær, inquiring how we'd be able to utilize our equipment and software to do such. They recommended researching the US Army Development Command's Army Research Laboratory AHAAH (Auditory Hazard Assessment Algorithm for Humans), as this is a supported function in the HBK PULSE LabShop software we possess.

Peak decibel data will still be present, as that is the loudest portion of the waveform, but this will be accompanied by more info. Data will include :

• Peak dB sound pressure level reading
• LAeq A-weighted Equivalent Continuous Sound Pressure Level (average A weighted dB sound pressure for the waveform over the defined time in milliseconds)
• Leq Unweighted Equivalent Continuous Sound Pressure Level (average unweighted dB sound pressure for the waveform over the defined time in milliseconds)
• Number of exposures with no protector worn, "warned" (how many gun shots would be safe to fire or be in the immediate vicinity of, daily and weekly, for an anticipating observer) applying to 95% of the exposed population

It is a Long Action chambered in 7.62 NATO (7.62 Stamped, not .308) with the 24" M24 profile barrel, threads for the sight post, and an M stamp to verify the Magnaflux particle testing from the factory. It is 100% specs correct 416R stainless steel M24 barrel with 5R groove in 1:11.25" twist.

Why is this barrel valuable? It comes directly from the Remington factory and has 100% m24 specs. A Bartlein or Krieger m24 barrel blank without chambering and coating will cost you 9-12 months of lead time.

I've spoken to McMillan in the past about the Mk13 Mod0 stocks and they have previously said that if there was enough interest they'd do a limited run of the A2 stocks for the Mk13.

I checked again and it seems like something that they would consider doing, but we have to let them know there's a want.

It might be worth emailing them to let them know you are keen and see if we can get some movement for people who want a Mk13 Mod0 in their collection.

Hey from Palmyra VA. Shooter my whole life but recently got the itch in building my own rifles and developing my own range.

New member and looking for some input……. I’ve got a 6-284 in a Remington 700 short action sitting in a HS Precision stock. I’d like to put the barreled action in a chassis or a different stock with m5 bottom metal. My question is…. Is there a box mag that will work for what I’m trying to do ? I run primarily 87gr V-Max’s at a COAL of 2.815 Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I have been fighting this issue for probably a season and a half. Whenever I shoot positional my shots go high .5 ish. Rifle is balanced, NPA isn’t usually a problem for me. I feel like my trigger pull isn’t horrible but it’s hard to judge that on the clock.

Yesterday at a match just started holding at the bottom of the plate to make impacts. Granted that worked but I would like to figure out the problem. Rifle dope is dead on whenever I shoot prone I am dead center.

Another case of timmy trying to steal more military credits? Also, his despicable behavior with the widow of a slain officer. My hat's off to her for letting timmy have it.

I purchased a Savage 110 Tactical chambered in 308 little over a year and a half ago and I have never seen a worse Barrel in my life.

Looks like train tracks running through the bore. deep and consistent pretty much from chamber to muzzle.

I don't know what kind of voodoo Savage does with these barrels because even though it looks horrible I'm pretty consistently shooting one Moa.


As you can see it grabs a hold of the copper pretty good lol but somehow manages to shoot great has anyone else had this kind of experience with Savage I actually had my first Barrel replaced from them on this gun because I thought it looked so bad but whenever they sent me the new one back it looked even worse but somehow shot even better.



Five shot groups like this aren't all that uncommon.

I’m bored and see some people have wildcatted a 20br and 22br. I know this is not new news, but it’s new to me.



Since I am a small bore aficionado and own an AIAT, would such a cartridge (fed out of a Grey Ops 6br mag) chamber fine?

Pretend the bullet is a 39gr blitzking or a 40gr vmax.

I don’t reload and know nothing about the tricks of barrel chambering. But if a 20br is a possibility, that might push me into reloading lol

Anyone know of where I can buy a Vudoo Single Shot mag / adapter? I know a guy was selling them here, but he unfortunately passed. Is anyone else making them?
