I'm running into a issue with my hunting rifle, win m70 in a edge HTG stock. I want to add a short arca rail for a tripod, but I don't was it to hang down and snag on my pack and gear.

Has anyone milled a recess in the forearm to add a 3" rail so that it all sits flush with the bottom? Would that take out too much structural strength? Could also go deeper and build it back up with fiberglass?

looking for input on sizes used. I find the airfoil bag is good except when i have to pump it too much for downward angles as it makes it hard on the top and can round the bottom and i can get some stock slide sideways especially when using it with tiny rifles vs a heavy.

I also have a full height heavy with handle Protecktor thats too high at other times with smaller rifles. I was thinking of the 1" shorter one to fill a gap for me and was wondering if anyone has feedback and what ear sizes they use. The ELR low one might be too redundant for me compared to the airfoil.

Im trying not to get PRS ish with a million bags (too late really) but especially if im not using a phoenix or other highly adjustable front that i wind up in some weird spots where im crushing a squeeze bag for elevation with a nearly shaking hand or im pumping an airfoil too much to get the damn bore down

any other 'middle height options' im missing? Should I really be considering the metal rear bag adjuster plate for where they are allowed?

Those of you who own the UTC thermal devices no the factory mount puts the optic centerline at 1.31", while the standard for pretty much all military clip-on devices is 1.5". I got a request to create a riser to put the UTC on 1.5", so I made an aluminum block to go between the throw lever and the device. Recoil lugged to match the LaRue interface. Since I have material and the dimensions, if anyone is interested in having one made let me know. They will be $40 shipped.

I can't say it's critical to get on center, but it will help minimize any offset and perhaps better center the screen in your optic.

Anyone happen to have the pinout for the power to a UTX-X Lemo port, or a USB cable they can check out? Trying to add it to the list of splitter options for the Vortex 4000 LRF power supply cable. 7 pin Lemo, normally 1 and 2 are positive/negative, but I have no documentation or cable to confirm that.

I’m looking to add a a red dot at 12 o clock to my Spuhr mount for target acquisition for PRS and had a couple questions.

1. What is a good red dot everyone is running? Seems like a lot of RMR but are there other popular ones for this use case?

2. For those with Spuhr mounts what red dot + spacers/mounts are you using to stay low profile but still get a good fov?

Due to some considerations I"m debating getting a 16" x95 and a 20" 762. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong places here but I couldn't find posts with 5/10 shot groups at 100m much less 200. Selling a 20" 6BR Lapua barreled action consisting of ARC Nucleus 2.0 and 20" PVA/Rock Creek 1:7.5 Medium Palma barrel (at this time, pictured KRG Bravo & Match Pro ED are not for sale).

I was lazy with my log, but I'd estimate 250 rounds down the barrel. It shot 107 SMK and 108EHs very well, but range time has been limited the last few years and I've already got a Dasher.

Lightly used NX8 1-8 with the capped DMX reticle.

Badger C1 1.54" 20moa with the C1 accessory ring cap (ARC) so you can run anything on the top. Includes the Tenebrex caps. I'd keep the side bubble level, RMR, and RMR top plate.

You can see a bit of black smudge between the zoom ring and the rear ocular locking ring. Left over residue from some electric tape that I'd used to make sure that the eyepiece didn't loosen. I can probably get it off with some Goo gone.

Glass is great, took it to 700 over the summer.
