Hey everyone! Long time reader, first time member.
I've been shooting my whole life, but mainly pistol/rifle. I want to get into long range/prs and looking to learn a lot.

Current rig, build when i was young and lack of knowledge, is a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308. Set in a Manners T4 stock, and Arken EP-5 5-25x56.

Hi guys. I have a Athlon Ares etr 4.5-30. There is a little bit of slack when i dial the parralax knob from one ditection to the other. The slack seems to be in the cap itself. Anyway to tighten it up?

I have a Tikka T3x CTR 20" .308, I've wanted to upgrade the factory stock for a while now. It shoots sub-moa with the right ammo, but I just don't like the OEM stock.

My budget is limited so I was looking at the Oryx initially, but the XRS isn't too much more so I think I can stretch to it.

I was looking at youtube reviews and I saw a video of a guy doing an install, with a follow up video showing that the chassis isn't fully inletted for the T3x footprint, he compares it to the OEM and GRS stock, and it has kind of thrown me off.

Looking at Hodgon subsonic 223 and 308 with Tite Group load data today and their data is based off a 24" barrel. Is there a general rule of thumb for powder amount to use with 18" and 16" barrels to get the same basic FPS as the 24" barrel?

Needing some advise from the hide. Looking for a scope to but on a 308 hunting build.

I’d like a MOA scope with illuminated reticle, simple reticle-no Christmas trees, FFP unless it’s a standard duplex reticle, 44-50mm objective-wanting good light transmission for low light.

I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a vortex, razor HD LHT until I looked at the reticle and it’s just way too busy for me. Now I found some VX5 but wanted to know what other options are before pulling the trigger.

Nice chassis that was used for a Rimx. So the mag catch was adjusted a little. Has a couple very small nicks and scratches from being used but really is in great near new condition.
Looks like it has an Elite Check riser and grip too.

Hello forum,

Just recently I bought a Howa 1500 in 7mm Rem Mag, with a 3-12x44 MOA Reticle scope, and a bipod. The thing shoots like a dream and it only took about 4 shots to sight it in after the bore sighting.

Currently it’s just zeroed with some cheap Remington Core Lokt 140 grain bullets, stuff that kicks less than a 270 on this rifle. O shot a few 175 grain core Lokt loads, and they pushed the rifle back a little bit more than any of the others I’d shot but I could manage probably 7-8 rounds of those loaded hot.

I’m a semi experienced reloader, granted I’ve only reloaded .30-06 and .45-70, but I’ve used many different bullets and loads for the .30-06 and I know what my preference is.

I was researching into Barnes TTSX 120 Grain bullets for long range because you can load them to 3400 FPS and they have a decently high BC, but recently I stumbled across 162 grain ELD-X loads that have an amazing BC and are factory loaded at 2940 FPS, but I checked my reloading book and you can load them up to 3045 FPS with IMR 4350 powder.

Which one of these two options would be good for long range shooting up to about 800 yards?

I have a problem with a post 2013 Sako TRG 22 trigger, I put 1,090 rounds through this rifle with zero issues then put it away about two years ago.

I pulled it out last weekend to go shoot, I ran a couple of patches through the barrel and scoped it to make sure it was clean and greased the appropriate spots on the bolt.

Upon checking function I found that I could close the bolt, pull the trigger and the firing pin would release but when I cycle the bolt again neither the trigger or safety function (can’t engage the safety).

I pulled the trigger out and didn’t see anything obvious but I proceeded to clean it with Gun Scrubber and blow it out with compressed air but it still didn’t function so I soaked it in Kroil thinking maybe there was some old grease in it gumming it up. After the Kroil I cleaned it with Gun Scubber again and blew it out. Same problem so I soaked it overnight in Naphtha, same problem.

Tonight I found that with the bolt open I could pull the trigger and heard another faint click and if I close the bolt the safety works and a pull of the trigger releases the firing pin but I have to do this second trigger pull to get the trigger to reset.

I checked the trigger pull and it’s 3-1/2 pounds.

Any TRG owners with the newer trigger run into this before?

For sale is a Kimber Super America 22lr in the B action. This is a really nice rifle. The stock has no scratches or dents. The action and bolt is near mint along with the bottom metal. The only thing is the barrel has several areas of some discoloration shown in pictures. Not rust nor can you feel it. It just has some shades of a different color from the original blueing. If it were not for that it would be a near mint rifle. It will come with the 1 magazine and bases on the receiver. I bought this from a collector and have never shot it. 2 nice for me to drag it through the woods. Hope somebody else can shoot it and enjoy it. I also bought a set of new old stock rings for it from the same person. They are in good shape but not perfect. Hopefully pictures will show all that I mentioned.

So I noticed the muzzle break on my Ruger RPR 6.5CM was not as level as it should be. As I tried to get it loosen up with a bar and a hella lot of force the barrel and muzzle break rotated clockwise a little, actually to where the muzzle break is now level. It was like 2 and 8 and now its 3 and 9. Guy at the range I was talking about was concerned about how the nut might be loose. Do I need to get in there? Barrel is tight and I can't move it by hand and firing is fine so far. I ordered a armorers wrench and all the go no go gauges anyway but just wanted to see what ya'll think.

I have up for sale my Resco Instruments Hooper watch, also known as the "Jaws" watch. This is Resco's rendition of the Alsta Nautoscaph worn by Richard Dreyfuss or "Hooper" in the original Jaws movie. It is 316L stainless with a 200 meter water resistance rating and features bright BWG9 SuperLuminova lume. It houses an ETA 2824 movement and have a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating on the inside. Watch is 40mm in diameter with a 20mm springbars.

I put it on mesh, because sharks, jaws and mesh just go together, but it is sized for my 6" wrist. There are some couplers included that you could possibly use to get to the proper length depending upon your wrist. Otherwise, it also comes with 3 unworn rubber straps, a rubber NATO, a standard black rubber strap and an iso-frane like vented rubber strap along with a waterproof hard case.
