MATERIAL AND BOXING/SHIPPING COSTS HAVE INCREASED. FED-EX REALLY REAMS MIKE ON THE SHIPPING! THEREFORE, COSTS WILL BE $400.00 SHIPPED PER DB IN CONUS. (NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE CONUS. YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH SHIPPING TO EVEN ALASKA IS).

THERE WILL BE NO DEVIATIONS FROM TAC OPS STANDARD FEATURES, (I.E., NO SPECIAL REQUESTS TO CHANGE ANYTHING ON THE BAGS, SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK.). ONLY THREE OF TAC OPS STANDARD COLORS WILL BE OFFERED (OD GREEN, COYOTE BROWN, MULTICAM.

SALES ARE FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED. CALIFORNIA SHIPPING ADDRESSES REQUIRE THE ADDITION OF 9.5% SALES TAX, SO CALIFORNIA SALES ARE $438.00 ($400.00+$38.00 SALES TAX) SHIPPED IN CONUS). CALIFORNIA ORDERS/SHIPPING ADDRESSES THAT DON'T INCLUDE THE SALES TAX WILL NOT BE SHIPPED. YOUR ORDER MAY BE CANCELLED WITHOUT NOTICE AND YOUR PAYMENT DESTROYED AND/OR RETURNED TO THE SENDER. ALL INSTRUCTIONS APPLY.

1. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ MY ORIGINAL POST, AS INFO REGARDING FEATURES, AVAILABLE PATTERNS & COLORS, SIZES, PRICING, SHIPPING, ARE ALL IN THE ORIGINAL POST. I'M NOT GOING TO CHASE AFTER PEOPLE ASKING IF THEY CAN GET XYZ COLOR OR PATTERN, TRY TO FIGURE-OUT WHAT SIZE BAG SOMEONE NEEDS BECAUSE THEY'RE TOO LAZY TO READ, OR ASK FOR THEIR COLOR CHOICE.

2. PER MIKE, FAILURE TO ABIDE BY ANY OR ALL OF THE GROUND RULES SET FORTH HERE WILL CAUSE DELAYS. FAILURE TO READ THE RULES CONSTITUES FAILURE TO ABIDE, SO DON'T BE A TOOL AND DON'T BUST OUR BALLS.

3. PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT INVOLVED IN THE RECEIPT AND/OR TRACKING OF PAYMENTS, NOR AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING AND/OR TRACKING OF DRAG BAGS. THEREFORE, PLEASE DO NOT PM OR EMAIL ME REGARDING YOUR PAYMENT OR SHIPPING & TRACKING STATUS. I WILL IGNORE ALL PMs' & EMAILs’ REGARDING THE SAME. TIA FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COMPLIANCE.

4. PLEASE DO NOT PM OR EMAIL MIKE REGARDING YOUR PAYMENT OR SHIPPING & TRACKING STATUS. MIKE WILL IGNORE ALL PMs' & EMAILs’ REGARDING THE SAME. TIA FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COMPLIANCE.

5. THERE WILL BE A LIMITED NUMBER OF DRAG BAGS AVAILABLE IN EACH COLOR. PLEASE DETERMINE THE COLOR(S) & SIZE(S) AND QUANTITY/QUANTITIES OF EACH DB YOU WANT BEFORE ORDERING.

6. PLEASE MEASURE THE OAL (OVERALL LENGTH) OF YOUR RIFLE(S) TO DETERMINE WHAT LENGTH DRAG BAG YOU REQUIRE FOR THE RESPECTIVE RIFLE(S). THE VARIOUS SHOOTING PLATFORMS AND CHASSIS' AVAILABLE TODAY MAKE BARREL LENGTH A POOR METHOD OF DETERMING WHAT SIZE DB SOMEONE NEEDS FOR A GIVEN RIFLE. FOR AN ACCURATE FIT, THE OAL MUST BE MEASURED. BELOW ARE THE AVAILABLE DB SIZES AND THE OAL EACH BAG SUPPORTS. "FITS UP TO" IS MAX LENGTH. DON'T TRY TO CRAM AN EXTRA 2" + INTO A BAG, AS IT WILL BE TOO TIGHT.

"SMALL/SHORT" Drag Bag fits up to 43.0" OAL
"LARGE/LONG" Drag Bag fits up to 50.0" OAL

8. PAYMENT(S) TO BE MADE IN THE FORM OF (USPS) MONEY ORDER OR PERSONAL CHECK. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PAYMENT BY PMO (POSTAL MONEY ORDER), AS OUT-OF-STATE CHECKS CAN TAKE UP TO TWO (2) WEEKS TO CLEAR BOTH YOUR BANK AND TAC OPS BANK HERE IN CALIFORNIA. THAT'S NO SHIT. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO, AND MAILED TO:

TACTICAL OPERATIONS, INC.
9701 WILSHIRE BLVD., SUITE 1000
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA 90212

IT'S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THE "INC." APPEAR AFTER "TACTICAL OPERATIONS", AND THAT "SUITE 1000" APPEAR AFTER "9701 WILSHIRE BLVD.". THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES CALLED TACTICAL OPERATIONS AND WE'VE HAD TROUBLE CASHING PAYMENTS WHEN INCORRECTLY FILLED-OUT. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A DRAG BAG IF YOUR PAYMENT(S) ARE INCORRECTLY FILLED-OUT/SHORT. RATHER, THE PAYMENT(S) WILL BE VOIDED AND MAILED BACK TO YOU.

9. PLEASE PRINT YOUR ORDER AND ADDRESS YOUR ENVELOPE OFF OF A COMPUTER WHEN YOU ADDRESS YOUR PAYMENT, AS WELL AS THE SIZE AND COLOR OR PATTERN OF THE DRAG BAGS(S) ORDERED. OFTENTIMES, PEOPLE'S WRITING IS SO ILLEGIBLE MIKE COULDN'T FIGURE-OUT THE PERSON'S NAME & ADDRESS, AND HE HAD TO WAIT UNTIL PEOPLE CALLED WONDERING WHERE THEIR BAG WAS BEFORE HE KNEW WHOSE CHECK OR MONEY ORDER HE HAD OR WHAT IT WAS FOR.

10. PLEASE NOTE YOUR SNIPER'S HIDE NAME/HANDLE ON THE NOTE WITH YOUR PAYMENT SO WE CAN DOUBLE CHECK WHO'S BEEN SHIPPED. PLEASE ALSO INCLUDE YOUR CELL NUMBER IN CASE TAC OPS NEEDS TO CONTACT YOU.

11. SHIPPING IS VIA FED-EX GROUND WITH SIGNATURE REQUIRED. NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF CONUS. IT IS HELLACIOUSLY EXPENSIVE TO SHIP TO ALASKA, HAWAII, AND PUERTO RICO LET ALONE ANYWHERE FARTHER.

12. I'M SORRY TO BUST YOUR BALLS, BUT IT'S THE ONLY WAY PEOPLE SEEM TO PAY ATTENTION.

Suppressor ReCore and Mount upgrades

ALL SERVICES HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED INDEFINITELY!
This includes recores, mount conversions, barrel threading, custom parts. We will not respond to inquiries about service work.

Was just planning to send in a YHM .30 Phantom QD for some "upgrades" and found out ECCO is completely out the Service Work side of the business.
Unfortunate because I was extremely happy with the results of my last re-core I had them do, but I guess, it is what it is.

I just sent off an email to Shaw Armament to see what kind of info I could get since it looks like they still offer it. Just a heads up for folks still considering ECCO, they are done.

Anyone else have solid recommendation of a shop that could be worth calling.

Reactions: long range dogr

Ayn Rand.

Lets see how this goes.

I think a little personal background on how I came to read her is in order, and will explain the thread a bit.

I had see memes with her quotes here and there over the years, spent the 10sec to read them and thought, yup. Then I joined here a bit ago. Originally wanted to do the long range thing, but a standby generator took that money and now I am thinking I am really too old for any real game. At one time I did quite a few games, but I just can't move like I once did, I tried bowling pins but that was just a bore, so now just shoot out back, and the odd starling here and there. So I have come to skim new posts and really hang out in the pit.

Down there more then a few threads had memes with her quotes and such.....ok darn it I will just read her. What to read, well "the" book is Atlas Shrugged.....good night that is a big'en. But I did it, sometimes it could have moved faster, other times I re read a section 3-4 times, it was that interesting.

If you count books finished this year I have read:

Atlas Shrugged
The virtue of selfishness
Anthem
Philosophy who needs it

All of those Rand. I did also read it was a gift after someone found out I was on this kick.

Amusing Ourselves to death.

I have found I enjoy talking about her views on about everything. I think I might find some here that might enjoy it as well. Perhaps this thread will make someone do what I did, pick up one of her books. I knew nothing of her book, no plot no underlying anything, nothing about Atlas. I was blind going in, and that might have been a good thing, zero clue what it was about.

Just hit Chap 18 on Philosophy one thing said in that book, a book that is speeches and papers written by here mainly in the 70's.

There is something that is interesting in that book that I just read this morning.

Words to the effect:

People sense something has gone wrong, they don't know what. This is the price they pay for being the silent and deaf majority. Americans are anti-intellectual, and with the current examples no wonder why. The do however place great value on education and that is now being shaken.

This was written IIRC in 1972. I would love to know what she would say about the world today.

There is another part in this book where a person wrights her a letter asking just what can one man do?

She says talk, don't preach just talk. Even if that is saying I don't agree. There is value in talking there is no value in keeping quiet. If you are silent you agree.

Perhaps that is what I am doing in todays digital world, talking. The folk I hang out with work and home generally have the same mindset as I. There are a few lefties around, yes even in a cop shop, and we have our little discussions back and forth. However they are not as much fun anymore, he is starting to see the light, just like most lefties that can actually think.

Lets see how this goes.

SOLD 2023 Rolex Explorer II WTS/WTT

I was going to list this on Rolexforums, but I figured it might be interesting to hold off for a day or two an see of anyone wants to do a deal for my '23 Rolex Explorer II?

Purchased it new in the Spring of '23, but it's sat on my watch winder almost the entire time. This watch the newer 3285 movement, and it's been running bang on (not losing or gaining any seconds beyond the current time) for the last 3 months that I've been time graphing it in a timing run. Insanely precise for such a relatively small mechanical device! I've owned dozens of stainless steel sports model Rolex watches and minus the ceramic bezel models - they're all built like a tank and can withstand the abuse. ALL of their models are backordered 1-3 years out, depending on the reference and your dealer relationship (can't just go in and buy them anymore).

Open to trades, trades + cash, or selling it outright. I'm not really looking for rifles or ammo, but random things that I would be interested in are good thermal, a 1-10 LVPO, possibly a decent March optic at higher or lower power, ACOGs, an Elcan Spectre, but just let me know what you have and I'll let you know if interested!
On watchrecon.com this reference lists in the $9000's up to $10500 pre-owned, but I can do $8325 in cash, trade, or cash + trade value.

It's a complete set, all links, box, warranty card (international warranty expires 3/2028), manual, both hanging tags (including the one with the serial and model that the Rolex AD's always seem to keep to themselves), and the watch:

Explain the Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block to me.

I've got my new gas block installed but I'm trying to understand a couple of the features. It appears that with the adjustment screw turned all the way in, it closes off any gas going through the tube. Then, the starting point is to unscrew it 4.5 turns which allows the full amount to go through the tube with none being bled off. But isn't there a chance to bleed off too much gas such that it won't cycle the bolt fully?
